Jen-You're welcome. Funny you mention the O like pains.....I've been having them off and on too since this weekend. I was thinking the same thing that things are trying to go back to "normal". I will be wearing gray for you next Friday!

Ann-G/L to you as well!

Jen, I am thinking of you!

Ann, it is SO GOOD to hear from you. I think of you often. Hope you are doing okay and Owen is doing great also. Let us know how this cycle goes for you.

Hi Lisa, Christie and Stephanie. Its good to be back. Very nervous about my beta tomorrow, I'm not feeling too positive about this cycle so we will see what happens, of course I hope I'm wrong.

Lisa and Christie -- Mia and Charlie, are just adorable!

Jen, feel better, melt downs are to be expected.Symptoms disappearing is not a bad thing, a lot of people feel nothing before they get a positive beta. Are you looking forward to getting your progesterone and E2 numbers? I know I am always happy to get any info I can throughout the cycle.

Ann- I am looking forward to doing something! At least I will feel like I am progressing then. I feel like I am doing nothing now.

I went to Walgreen's this evening & bought 4 HPTs. Probably better not to have them in the house, but I couldn't help myself.

My lower back is feeling crampy off & on. My breasts are not as sore as they have been since the transfer. Trying not to read to much into these conflicting symptoms.

How early can I test & feel somewhat confident in the result? I will be 7 days past transfer tomorrow (8 if you count from the day of the transfer, 2/29). My beta is not until next Friday - 14 dpt. I could use some advise on when to start testing. My trigger was on 2/24, so it should be gone by now, right?

Hi Jen - I have been following your journey. I am somewhat of an old timer on the boards but don't post much these days. Over the last 2 years I have gone through 4 IVFs. 2 chemical pregnancies and 1 cancelled cycle and 1 successful cycle. My last cycle was the successful one and I am currently pregnant with twins! Try not to read too much into your symptoms – they do come and go! My bbs were so sore – but that was it! I did not have one other symptom until well into my 8th week of pregnancy – which was exhaustion! A friend of mine had NOTHING! Not one sign!

As for testing…I was due for my beta 11 days past 3 day transfer (14 days past my retrieval). I tested on the Sunday before and got my BFP! I would say to wait at least 10 days after you triggered to make sure there is no chance of a false positive. I will be thinking many positive thoughts for you!!!!

Mll – good to hear from you. Good luck on your beta. I will be thinking positive thoughts for you!!!

Thanks Jen. Its been a while since I've seen you on the boards, & I am thrilled for you!!!

Tomorrow will be 12 days past trigger and 7 days past transfer. I can't believe they are making me wait 14 days!! Still too early for a HPT, right?

I think you would be safe to test today, that is no chance of false positive. However, it is still early and the same rules apply as when you were trying to conceive without IVF - it just may be too early to detect the HCG!

Good luck! Let us know the results!

Jen - I would say same rules apply too. So if the transfer was 7 or 8 days ago, would that be considered DPO's? If so...you should wait until 12 dpt...10 at the earliest. I don't want to see you getting all upset for no reason

I couldn't do it. I made myself pee before I could open one of the boxes. I think I am going to tell DH to hide them so I don't get tempted.

Thanks for the advice girls. I am going to try to make it through the weekend.

Jen-I agree with the others that I'd wait until at least 10-12 days past transfer. But also don't want you to get a BFN because its too early. So I'm telling you to put the sticks away until at least Thursday. Hang in there!

Ok, I know I am probably getting ahead of myself, but I have always been a planner. I need to have a backup plan, or be prepared to deal with things if they go well or go badly. Thats just how I handle things.

I applied for the IVF clinical study in Houston (I posted it under the articles section). They just called & I passed the preliminary check & have an appt on 3/17. The costs are minimal and the study is for a progesterone ring, which doesn't worry me at all. It sounds like the whole thing would cost $1800-2500, which is amazing. They are not limiting the # of study participants in my age group, so I am not taking an open spot for someone else.

I sincerely hope that I won't have to do it, but at least I have a backup plan that would help me get through any negative results that I might have next week. I am just so excited to have the opportunity to try again, soon. I didn't have this option, who knows when we could come up with another $15k to try again.

I wanted to share this with you all. I am by no means giving up, but I think it will make next week a little easier for me.

Jen - Where is your 3/17 appt in Houston? I truly hope you don't need it though!

Oh, cool! How far is Clearlake from Austin? Its on the other side of Houston, right?

I told them I would likely drive in & out same day for the initial appt. & I do want to confirm that some of my monitoring could be done in Austin - I don't know if I could drive to Htown 3x a week for monitoring, etc. I am hoping it is like my San antonio experience, where I only went down there 4 times and the rest was done here.

I'll definitely let you know!

Yeah, we are all the way on the South East side of town, so factor in another hour of drive time to get through Houston.

Jen-I don't think that sounds like giving up at all.. that's just being mentally prepared. I hope you can cancel that appt. next week. That beta does seem far away. I wonder why they make you wait so long??
