Oh, this whole elections makes me cry too. Just kidding -- a bit of comic relief.

Jen, hold on, babe. And don't analyze everything to death, cause your body has been put through the wringer, and nothing means anything. Heck, my symptoms of pg IS lack of symptoms.

Three embies is great sweetie, two transferred, and one even took to freeze! Darling, you would do all of this for one sweet baby. I can't pretend to know what the IVF journey feels like, but it's no surprise you're upside down and all over the place. Just great big hugs, and hang in there, like Lisa said. She's been there. You've got a handful of successful stories around here; people who've been there. You can do this. {{{squeeze}}}

It's ok Jen. The whole process is hard. We transferred 3... none implanted and none to freeze. It is just hard. But, we do what we have to do. Don't think negatively YET.

Thanks girls. I think I just needed to get it out. I had a good cry at lunch and then went to Target & spent $100 on nothing important. I am looking forward to another good cry tonight.
I am going to try to stop analyzing every twinge. It is going to be hard. This is the worst 2ww ever. The 6 IUIs were nowhere near this bad. Deep breath...........

Jen-I can't relate to the IVF but being in my second injectable cycle I do have the same emotions. Meaning I feel nothing and therefore I feel like this was likely a failure. We have to TRY and remember that symptoms or no symptoms doesn't mean anything. We have to hold onto hope that regardless of how many follies or egs were produced that things responded like they were supposed to and therefore it was a success! Hang in there I know you've got a BFP coming your way.

Jen - Big Hugs to you!! I'm praying for great news to come your way!! I can't imagine the feelings that are surrounding you. I wish I had great advice but I don't. Try to keep yourself busy look forward to next week and try not to dwell on the day. Hang in there!

Jen- Just wanted to wish you all my best. This waiting part is the so hard, I remember. Keep yourself as occupied as you can (but keep your body relaxing too.) I found keeping my mind busy was really the only way to deal with it. Don't stress about the ones that didn't make it. Right now, you've got the two best inside of you, so they are the only ones that matter!
(And, so you know, I don't recall ever feeling anything during the 2ww. Maybe some cramping, but I'm not even sure about that. So don't go by how you feel, b/c you just will drive yourself crazy.)

I just wanted to jump on and say good luck to you Jen. I used to write on the board and just viewed again after a long time. I also went thru ivf. I did 2 cycles, have a ds from #2 and I just finished a 3rd cycle so you and I are in the same waiting period. My transfer was last week, my progesterone test was last fri and my beta is this fri, to give you an idea of my timeline. I just wanted to reach out and send my best wishes.

Ann

Heidi, Ivana, Sarah - Thanks for the kind words & wishes. I am trying to keep it together.

Ann - Best of luck to you. I'll be thinking about you on Friday! Please keep in touch!

Does anyone know when implantation should take place after the ET? I can only find info on natural conception.

Also, will the progesterone test tell me anything after IVF? Wondering if it is any kind of predictor?

I dont think progesterone levels can act as a predictor after ivf or at all. My RE's office said that they look for the level to be over 20 at the progesterone check. Mine was over 40 so they kept me on 2mL of prog in oil and just told me to return for beta, but they said they could not predict pregnancy from these levels although they looked good.

Thanks Ann. I figured as much. I am on 1ml per day, and I am currently waiting for DH to fly home from Dallas to give me my shot. Are your hips sore? I have only been on it a week & both sides hurt when I walk.

Yes Jen, I am sore and bruised. I have only been on it for a week too, my transfer was last thurs2/28 and I had my prog test the day after, 2/29, which I was surprised at and my beta is 3/7 so my wait was not as long as I expected but still tough of course. Are you on baby aspirin?

WOW - Thats so fast! My ET was on Friday 2/29, my E2 & progesterone check is Friday & my beta is 3/14. I'm not on baby asprin - the Dr never mentioned it during treatment. I am also wearing an estrogen patch. My hormones are raging.
Sorry you are sore too - I am icing the spot before the shot, but its still not fun. Hopefully, we'll get BFPs & that will make it so much easier!
Btw, what did you mean by "ds" after your 2nd IVF?

I am taking estrogen pills but no patch. I am also on baby aspirin.

I really dont know, I dont feel anything right now and I dont think I felt anything then but I wish I had more confidence in this cycle, its hard to wipe out all doubts but I am trying to hang onto hope. I was also surprised at how fast my tests were scheduled for, my beta for my last cycle was scheduled for 10 days after ET, a little longer than this one.
