Rebecca - Yes, they told me that they can't tell yet. They couldn't see anything on the u/s today. I am getting a little nervous b/c my doubling time is slowing down...trying not to over analyze.....I am going to ask if they want me to get a blood test later this week. I don't think I can wait over a week until my next u/s.

Jen-I think your numbers look fine. Its still really early for the u/s to show much. I don't know what they consider to be high enough for the twins thing either. I thought we had a chart posted somewhere with beta information.

www.betabase.com will give you some ideas about betas of multiples. It is a great website for beta info too.

Jen - I remember reading that nothing can be seen on the u/s until the beta is around 2000..... I think your numbers are just fine, too. Usually you think they have to double in 48 hours, but I believe the time frame is up to 72 hours.

Rebecca, Kristin - Thanks. I did all the calculations on the beta website & thats what freaked me out. I wasn't sure if my doubling time was slowing, or if it was skued b/c the tests were 3 days apart (it said 66 hours). I have been having cramps, which I know is normal, but it still makes me nervous.

Heidi - I posted a chart on the test thread. The ranges are so big, it doesn't tell me much.

Well, the weather here sucks - very windy & rainy. I hope everyone has a good day!

Yay for no more PIO shots!!
Don't worry if your numbers aren't doubling like the charts say they should. My numbers were always very low, and I surprised everyone being pg w/twins anyway. You just never know. As long as they are increasing, that is what matters.

Yay for you!!

I wanted to post the email DH sent to all of our friends to tell them we were pg. It was so sweet & it is so his personality. He is the best!

Subject: So, apparently Jen and I are fans of limes....

Why you ask? Well, it has to do with the fact that the little baby inside of Jennifer is the size of a lime. It's really funny about the timing because Monday was Cinco De Mayo and I am a fan of Dos Equis w/ lime. Despite the fact I am not of Mexican ancestry I find it necessary to celebrate this holiday. Specifically celebrating with a lime squeezed into my Dos Equis. Well, as you can imagine, the visual of squeezing our child into my beer was too much to bear, so I switched to Corona. I digress...

Sometimes my sarcasm is too thick, so here it is in plain English....Jen is pregnant. I've heard the statement that "we are pregnant" from others and I have to say that Jen disagrees. I am most definitely not pregnant, she is. You know what I mean.

I am a person who chooses carefully when they are sentimental. It typically involves Miller Lites, however now is not a time that I can contain my excitement, nor is this a time that Jen can contain hers. We want to share this information with you because we consider you friends. Many of you know the struggle we went through to get to this point and you will never understand how much your love and support meant to us. I know I just typed the last sentence, but let me tell you again...we felt every prayer, sentiment and positive thought you threw our way. You all know me well enough to understand the meaning of that.

Let's focus on Jen...She is doing well and is right at the first trimester. We've seen the "little blob" go from a pinpoint to a bona fide "thing" that has what appear to be legs, arms and a giant penis. Did I get your attention with that? Ha. Too soon to tell.

Jen is feeling fine, all things considered, and has the appearance of the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. I am truly the luckiest man on the planet.

Wow, that was a bit longer than expected. Good evening for now, let's talk soon.

-Randy and Jen and "the little blob"
