thanks for all of the well wishes, girls!! I'm so lucky to have all of you.
I just got home a little bit ago (dh took me to lunch after since I was starving). The surgery itself was simple. I was knocked out, on something like valium, a pain med and some sleepy juice. I'm still pretty sleepy, though.
The adhesion is gone. She was able to remove it, but not without dilating my cervix. She said that there's some scar tissue near my cervix probably from past LEEP surgery. The adhesion itself was close to the cervix and she thinks it may have been due to the result of some trauma during my LEEP (that was 10 years ago). She said it wasn't in an area that would inhibit implantation. My thoughts.....anything in there that's not supposed to be can be an issue since the body knows best. She said that I will probably have some mild bleeding/spotting and when it's done, we can bd and try on our own this month. She also said that since she knows that I'm not a fan of ivf, we can try a few months and see what happens. Considering my cervix, I'm thinking we will probably do more IUI down the road (maybe next cycle). What she removed will be sent to pathology to be analyzed and I'll have a teleconference with her in about a week to go over the results.
I went to acupuncture last night and since we have the green light to try this month, I need to go back for another session before I ovulate. I'll have to make that appointment soon.
I'm off to nap. I'll check in with everyone later.
