I heard from Jen today. She thinks she may be able to go home tomorrow. She is doing well - considering all that is going on - and said that Andrew is doing well, also.

Jen- First I am praying for you and your dh and Andrew. I know you are in pain and so happy at the same time. I am praying for your understanding, comfort, strength, wisdom, courage..You name it girl I am praying for you! I love you and I already LOVE Andrew too! He is so beautiful. I am thinking of your angel Abigail too.

I have to share a story about my grandmother that I think will give you a strange bit of comfort. She also was a twin and her twin brother died at birth. She said when she was a child she played with him all the time and has always felt a bit different knowing she had a twin. She says she feels blessed that he helped her to live and she has always loved him for it. My grandmother is one of the most talented artists I have ever seen, a good christian woman with a wonderful heart. Andrew will be a fantastic person too!!

You are a wonderful mommy already Jen. You have been so STRONG for these babies and Andrew is so blessed. I am so glad I know you!

I was so sorry to read about Abigail this morning. Losing a child is terrible. Like someone else said, take the time to grieve and heal. I've been there and I know how hard it can be. I know you don't know me that well, but if you want, feel free to pm me. I know it helped me to hear from others who had been there as well. If you don't that's ok too. I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. It meant so much to come on today and read all your messages.

Karen - thank you so much for your story about your grandmother. I am sure she is with us in spirit and will follow and guide Andrew through his life.

I think my little guy is so handsome but I am his mom - so I am biased. Last night Dave and I walked down to the NICU and I was able to change his diaper and help out the nurses with his nightly routine.

Not sure if you remember the story I told you that the 35th Anniv. of my dad's death was 5/26 - coincidentally that was the day Abigial died too. I pray her grandfather was waiting for her with open arms!

Dave and I are meeting with the funeral director and our pastor. We are having a small service at our church for family and close friends on 6/3 - if I could just ask you to pray for us for the strength to get through that day! Our pastor told us they have a section of the church for babies about 100 feet from the front door. So, every Sunday Dave, Andrew and I go to church she will be there to celebrate with us.

Thanks again everyone! It is the countdown - today is day 81 in the hospital and also my discharge day. I have been fever free and am so ready to get out of here. Just waiting for my doctor to get here, take out my stitches and give me my instructions. AMEN!!!! You have all made this journey will my family - your prayers are what have helped us get through this...and your words of support have definitely helped me the last 81 days. Thank you again!!!
