That's great that she is gaining -- they're good size Jen! You're doing great -- yes one day at a time, with meltdowns allowed as needed.

Hey all!
Thanks Rebecca for updating everyone for me! Can you believe it...29 weeks! I cannot even begin to tell you how incredible this entire experience has been! I feel so fortunate to still be here! It is almost impossible to wrap my mind around the miracle that has happened so far! They didn't even think i would make it 3 days and here we are 1 day away from 9 weeks!!! The tech made a comment at the ultrasound on Wednesday that Abigail is going to come out laughing at everyone when she is born...i hope she does!!! My doctor read the report to me and I almost started crying. It said Twin A: "fetal test results are reassuring". Wow - no one has ever said anything "reassuring" about our little Abigail. Andrew is doing just perfect. I feel bad - I always give updates on Abigail. The tech printed out a picture for me of the two of them - there heads are together. He has been head down for the last week and she is transverse - but both their heads meet. I think they totally feel each other's presence and it is keeping them going strong! God Bless my little angels! Thank you so much for all your prayers!!!! Our goal is still 32 weeks right now but I am counting down the days to 36 - 38 weeks! On 5/26 (2 days before 32 weeks) it will be the 35th Anniversary of my father's death...he died when I was 22 months old. I think he is really looking out for his grandchildren -hopefully he'll help them get through the 32nd week with flying colors and take us to 33 weeks or more! Thanks again!!! I wish I could meet each and everyone of you and Thank you in person! All of your prayers are so much appreciated! Jen

Jen ~ It amazing; sometimes it seems like last week that we got the news, sometimes it seems like it's been forever. I'm sure that's pretty magnified on your end. It's okay -- when it comes to Andrew, I think we're all clear that no news is good news. I'm glad about Abigail looking 'reassuring'. That's a great word to hear I bet. Keep on truckin' momma! |

jen-
, you are doing incredible. Your precious little ones are amazing everyone. They definitely have a special angel watching over them. It is wonderful that Abigail is doing so well, she is a strong one. It must be incredible seeing them head to head with each other in the u/s. Thank you for the update, I know personally I wait to hear each week about your progress. |

Jen, I think that tech was right and Abbigail will come out laughing and her first words will be screw you doctors. I am so happy for you right now! And just so you know, my BFFs DD has severe scoliosis and 2 years ago they said her lungs only were functioning about at 1/3 and that is all she would ever have and now they are up to 3/4 function so I am sure that the docs cannot predict everything that will happen to her.

Amazing!! You amaze me, your babies amaze me--the whole thing is amazing!! We're still cheering and praying over here. I love to get your updates--it seems like each week Abigail finds a new way to trick everybody! And Andrew--holding steady--being a little rock for his Mom and Sister! Blessings to all of you!

Jen, I am so thankful you and the babies are doing well. Have you talked to your doctors about ECMO? It is a heart/lung bypass that can allow Abigail's lungs to heal. They can do a fetal lung assessment in utero to determine how much lung tissue she has developed and use ECMO when she is born to allow her lungs to recover from the PPROM. I am sure you have done lots of research but I found these two websites that explain fetal lung assessment and ECMO. Let me know if you have any questions.

Jend just know God is in control not these doctors, and through God all is possible. Little Abigail may be just perfect when she arrives here and Andrew too. It is okay to complain, I know it is hard to just lie in the bed all day. I know I speak for most here we come and check in praying you and the sweethearts have made it another day, another week and another mile stone. Continuing to pray for you. Keep us updated as you can.
