Hi, I am new to this so I will try to make this short. Me and my hubby have been together for 6 1/2 years and have never once used anything to prevent pregnancy. But I have yet to get pregnant. I have been to the doctor and they said everything seems fine and send me on my merry way. But I havent been to get any real testing done yet , I'm hoping to do that within the next couple months, but im scared to death of hearing that I cant get pregnant. So I'm pretty anxious about the whole thing. If anyone could give me any advice I would be greatful.

If your doctor does not take you seriously after 6 1/2 years of unprotected bd, and no pregnancy, I would find a new doctor! Do you mind my asking your age?

If you are serious about ttc, I would start by temping and using opks, if you arent already. It is a GREAT way to leaarn your cycle and know exactly when you are ovulating. Doctors can also use this information to help you. Is your cycle regular?

The initial tests that I would look into and talk with your dr about are an SA (Semen Analysis) for your dh and some bloodwork (progesterone levels, fsh levels, etc) for you. I think having a good doctor that will listen to you and take your concerns seriously is very important.
