I totally understand how you feel RAC, I had just pressure when mine was done I thought I was going to soil the table. I just wanted to get ont he toilet to relieve the pressure. I didn't want to tell you that and scare you to death. Glad everything was good, maybe it openned the way for you now to get that BFP like Gratton did.

I spoke with someone at the fertility clinic today. I think the initial consult is going to cost $275.00 for an hour long appt. It will include an u/s. I will also take in my medical records of things that I've had done so far. And I think we will go the route of applying for the Capitol One fertility card that Betsy recommended. The lady recommended that as well. I'm getting nervous b/c now I'm taking the initial steps. Why am I getting nervous over something I want so badly? Maybe we'll find there is something majorly wrong with me and maybe I won't be able to have anymore kids? Ughhh...

Betsy~ Do you have that link for the Capitol One card again? Thanks.

Regina~ This is the link http://www.capitalonehealthcarefinan.../apply-now.asp I applied and got enough to pay for 2 IUIs. It is really easy, and will be very helpful for us.

Rebecca~ I am SO SORRY your hsg was painful. Mine was miserable too, but at least you know! I am glad it is over for you!

I´ve been TTC for 14 months now, and as you remember with MFI and i have high levels of prolactin. So, i guess here is where i belong.

Rac- im glad you got clear tubes. Aftter my HSG, i had monster cramps, took 2 advil and that was it. I did have some spotiing after..Doctor said it was normal.

My DH got home from work early today because of rain. He called me in my office and asked if I was coming home early because if I was, he was going to stay home, but if not, then he's going to go to a friend's house for awhile.

This is like a gigantic show of consideration that I am just not used to from him. He was also washing dishes! Plus he was getting dinner ready so all we have to do is heat it up.

Things have changed since last week. A lot. I just hope they stay that way!!!

Emily - YAY to positive changes!

Gina - That is exactly how I felt when I found out that my insurance covered the testing..... like I was going to confirm that there was something wrong and I'd rather not know. Truth is, I'm glad that I know now and you will be too.

Mari - I continued to cramp for about 45 minutes - those were monster cramps. After that it was just pressure. I'm feeling tons better now. I'm so glad I didn't go to work today.

It's still snowing - buckets! I'm supposed to have a massage tonight...... I don't want to cancel, either. I thought maybe Jeff would call to reschedule, but nothing yet!

Rebecca, I was seriously floored. He's never, in two years, called to more or less ask if it was okay for him to go somewhere. I guess sometimes getting mad and sticking up for yourself does garner results!

He also bought a new (to him) Chevy Blazer on Saturday with money he has been saving for a truck forever (like since before I met him). Friday night, he told me that if I was uncomfortable with him spending that amount of cash that he wouldn't buy it. Just the fact that he CONSIDERED me and my opinion made me totally okay with it.

I wish it was snowing here! It's just yucky dirty cold rain.

OMG I just now saw this thread! I was wondering where all my buddies were at! I feel like I'm in limbo of where to post.....over 6 months but there are lots of newbies there, but 9 months is not 12 months so I don't belong here either. I'm a misfit.

Rebecca - I'm so glad your HSG went well and you have no blockages. Sorry it was painful though.

Regina - I have my R.E. appt coming up and I have no idea how much it will cost or what will be done. I did go get copies from my ob/gyn's office of all my (and DH's) medical records concerning fertility/infertility. So, I will go equipped (sp?) with all my charts and medical records, and will hopefully be taken seriously. That seems to be my biggest problem with doc's because I'm only 21, there's no way I could have a hard time getting pg at this age.

Lauren~ Thanks for the Capitol One website. That's exactly what I needed!

Em~ I'm glad to see a change in DH. I hope it stays that way for you.

Rebecca~ So you can relate to how I'm feeling? At this point, it's a chance I have to take. Enjoy your massage!

Kayla~ At your consult and when you and your Dr decide what route to take, get prices. BTW: You're not a misfit. You get to post where you feel comfortable. Me personally. This is where I belong.

Emily - Ask for a copy of your u/s or a report when you go tomorrow. Have you & DH talked anymore about the SA? That's great DH called - you may want to thank him for that - reward his good behavior.

Rebecca - At least the HSG is over with. I can't even imagine what that feels like. I'm going to have to bite the bullet here soon.

Lauren - Vegas is okay - I'm so over it. I used to go alot. I dont gamble. But I haven't gone in a few years and i think it would do us some good.

Lisa - How are you and Forrest doing? Is he still on the road alot?

Regina - I didn't qualify for the stupid capital thing. I got my loan from work and start paying it back next month. and I know how you are feeling. Once this Dr gave me the green light for the IUI I felt like vomiting. And it took me 2 months to be emotionally ready for it.

Mari - There aren't too many MFI girls here. it's a wierd spot to be.

Kayla - Irregardless of your age - be adamant and pushy for your treatments. Even as I approach 36, I had the hardest time finding a dr that would help me.

I've come up with a new scheme. =) I'm going to write an application letter with all my information attached to several fertility clinics in the area to offer myself as a clinical study. I'd be willing to be the guinea pig for any new advancements or drugs to get pregnant if I can do it for free. I saw on FF 2 people who are doing that in Boston. And when I did a search online I found one about 30 minutes from me and the cut off of age is 36....so I still have a few months. Can anyone think of any cons?

Betsy - I think it sounds good as long as they are refutable clinics. Cons that I can think of: since they would be doing pro-bono it would probably (maybe not) be totally on their schedule, so they might be hard to work with as far as your and Carlos's schedules. Clinical trials are usually pretty safe though, I think, because they've already done lots of tests in the lab and on critters . I hope you find some good info.

Hello everyone, Happy Valentines Day to you all.

Betsy Forrest is still driving, as a matter of fact he is in Delware trying to get to New Jersey and the roads are icing, so he is pulled over hoping they get better when the sun come up. I hope so too. How are you? I like your scheme, I wonder if at my age if they would like to play around with Forrest and I.

Kayla you are good here, you are not a misfit at all!

Regina sorry about Capital One, but where there is a will there is a way! Praying you find it!

EmilyElise, I am glad he is respecting you and your wishes, his wanting to change is a good step in the right direction. I have been praying for you both, glad to see it working.

Rac hope you were able to get your massage, and that it relaxed you too!

Mari28 Glad to hav eyou here too.

Lauren hope all is well with you too.

Sorry if I left anyone out! Happy Valentine's to all....Wish I was able to give us all BFP today!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone.

Today is actually DHs birthday too! He is working tonight - so he'll be home all day. I am working from home because of the wonderful weather in NJ. We didn't get as much snow as predicted - but the ice is really coming down!

I was reading the posts every once in a while...I just didn't post because I had nothing to say! So, I am not totally lost on where everyone is!

Lauren - I don't know the specific herbs? She has several different concoctions that I take depending on where I am in my cycle. One is called Strengthen the Root, planting seeds, etc. They have all the herbs listed on the ingredients. I was always considered liver Qi deficient - but after this last IVF cycle - we are noticing some blood deficiency - just by the way my cycles have been - so different then they used to be!

Betsy - I think that sounds like such a great idea! I have thought about that too. When I met with my doctor he thought it was so "odd" how my embryos start to implant - my numbers crash only to rise again and take 2 months to get back to 0. I looked at him and asked..."anything you would like to research further? I'll be the guinea pig!" He just smiled...hey - it was worth a try!

Emily - happy to hear the changes in DH. Maybe he realizes how good you are to him! I hope it stays that way!

Mari - glad to see you posting! What was the MFI you were dealing with again? MFI was our main reason for IVF - but they now believe I may have poor egg quality based on embryo quality and 2 failed IVF attempts. We did have chromosome tests and all was normal...thank God!

Regina - so glad you are see the fertility specialist. After I had gone I felt like this huge weight was lifted off my back...like it wasn't all up to me temping, timing BD, etc. Does that make sense?

OK - I'm working from home - gotta get back to work. I'll check in later.
