Default February Thread for the Infertility Side

Anyone interested in having a monthly thread for the infertility section? I feel like this is where I should be at and thought maybe other women who feel the same way would like to post here too.

No offense to the newly TTC girls but -- In a way, I feel more comfortable here because I'd be able to shield myself from seeing newbies getting their BFP's and the like when I'm going through a down time. Not only that but I just feel like this section is more suited for what I'm going through.

If you're interested, then thats great, if not, then I guess we'll just continue posting in the over 6 months thread in the TTC side.

(Walking up to Christina and putting my arm around her and giving her a kiss on the cheek)

I no longer feel like a normal TTCer. Unless I'm doing something "artificial" I guess I'm not TTC.

Cristina - I have thought about starting a monthly thread over here, but it made my infertility a bit too realistic. This is where I belong, though.

Rebecca - I was in denial too. during the 2ww of the IUI in my heart I still felt that Carlos and I could do it the natural way. I was going to pretend in my head that we got pregnant with the BD marathon after the IUI and it wasn't the IUI after all.

Now that I got a plastic syringe up my hoohaa and still not pregnant there is no denying it anymore.

Christina- great idea. I don't post as much as I used too...just like you - hard to keep seeing BFPs as I pass the 2 year mark (and that is with infertility treatments). Other then RAC (sorry to remind you) - i think everyone we started with either got their bfp or had their baby already!

Can I still live in my little bubble of infertility denial world?

No problem Jen. It's reality. I think Lisa is the only other one left and she doesn't post much anymore.

Lauren - You can live where ever you are most comfortable!

Thats another reason why I had been thinking of starting it, I wanted to include members like you, Jend, and the other IVF and IUI girls. I hardly see you guys post on the other side and now I know why. Its not that I want us to have our own clicks and seperate everyone, I just think its easier to speak with people who understand what we're going through and more.

Cristina~ You said exactly how I feel!!! No offense to the newcomers who get their BFP right away, but I am 2 plus years now TTC with no luck. Well, tomorrow is when I finally make my phone call to the fertility clinic. The only thing now is I all of a sudden got a really bad UTI. I've only had one in my life and I don't remember the pain being like this.

Thank you Cristina for starting this thread!

Hey Cristina. Can you change the word "Monthly" to February and this way this will be our uusual post each month, just like Feb TTC for 6 mos or longer, etc. March TTC for... blah, blah.

This really is a good idea. I might not post on the TTC 6 mos thread ever again!

Cristina - I changed the thread name to February. I hope you don't mind. If we're going to post here regularly, we'll need to continue updating like we do on the other side.

Well, it's snowing, snowing, snowing. We're supposed to get about 6 inches of snow today (already have a couple from overnight). My appointment is at 10:30. Dh is going with me, but he won't be allowed in the room during the procedure because of the radiation. Do any of you girls remember approximately how long the hsg takes??

Hey Rebecca,

I forgot today was the HSG...honestly, the prep took longer then the procedure. I was all clear so that could have been why? The nurse explained EVERY detail of the procedure and then the doc came in and did it - 1,2, 3!

Let me know how everything goes!

Oh, send that snow this way. They are predicting 6 - 10 inches (not like the 12+ feet in NY!) by my house. ALready told my boss I'm working from home tomorrow if it hits. It is DHs b-day and he is working nights...so it will be nice to spend the day together - maybe he'll stay home too???? Since we live on a "mountain" we get double - they were predicting less by work - more ice and rain!!

I am psyched too - took off Friday to clean and for furniture delivery ...yeah! I can't wait!

On a TTC note - started acupuncture and herbs again! She told me after a miscarriage/chem. preg - the body needs 6 months to recover, according the CHinese Medicine. We just hit the 2 month mark...I am going to wait until May/June to start another cycle. Who knows - I waited 6 months last time and ended up in the same boat. Thinking positive!!!

Hope all you ladies have a great day...thanks again for starting this thread!

Rebecca~ The actual procedure itself only takes maybe 5-10 minutes. It is pretty quick.

Jen~ I am doing ok... I have a lot to keep me busy, but I am sure it will all wear off before the 2 weeks is over! Thanks for asking! What herbs do you take?

I did get crosshairs today and I LOVE that. Although, I am still a bit confused. So many people on ff said that the hcg shot would mess up my temps, but it does not seem to have...

Thanks for the HSG feedback, girls. We're getting ready to leave. I just have to dry my hair!

Lauren - Your temps look great. They really shot up after you O'd. I hope that's a sign of a good, healthy, strong (and fertilized) egg!!!
