Lauren - that is great info. I just shared with a friend of mine who is on the waitig list right now for donor eggs.

OH - and I forgot to mention the suppression drug I took was Ganirelix - not sure where i got cetrotide from - i think that may have been another suppression drug.

Just got a call and my cycle has been cancelled. My donor is not responding. I should have known that with her age it probably wasn't a good choice...
I am really disappointed. She said to stop all meds and take the estring out. UGH. Back to square one.

**EDIT**
The nurse just called back... They feel like the donor didnt respond well to the dosage they started her at, so they are stopping for now, but starting her back again when her af comes. They said her antral follicle count was good, and her follies were growing well but her estradol wasnt rising as fast as they wanted it to... With donor cycles they cancel quickly so they dont "waste" my money if it isnt off to a good start. He still thinks she will respond well since she had 15 antral follies and they were growing...

SO I guess we're just postponed for a few more weeks...

Lauren - {{hugs}} At least this way, they know what changes that need to be made so that you can go on to complete the cycle. Hang in there. Having antral follies is a great sign, too.

Oh, honey, how disappointing! I got chills as I was reading your post. {{{huge squeeze}}}

BUT, as Bec said, they've learned something, and are optimistic, and she was responding well in some ways, so that's good news. And since you both (you and 'Hope') have really made it into 'the trenches' together now, even though it is a cancelled cycle, perhaps that part of the anxiety will be eased a little with the new cycle.
