I haven't written here for a while. but last month I got cysts from taking Clomid. Had to take a month off, they have mostly gone away. Went to the NP yesterday and was told to start my injections tonight. I'm nervous. Haven't yet given myself an injection. Then later I will take the progesterone suppositories. Then...insemination will be the next big task after that. I sure hope this works. Can't afford IVF.
Has anybody here done the Menopur injections? I will do it at night and my hubby doesn't do needles, so he will be useless. Good thing I took a class to learn how to do it...

tryagain - I did IVF and did many of my injections on my own (DHs schedule was different the mine). Most of them are subcutaneous - so they really don't hurt too bad. Put some ice on the spot for about 1 - 2 minutes (or until it melts). You won't even feel the shot.

Tryagain - Good luck with the injections, I would be a little nervous about doing them as well, but Jend's idea is awesome and I'm sure it'll work great.

I noticed that you are from San Jose, I used to live in Morgan Hill! It's good to see someone who is from where I used to live. I heard it's been really really hot there, how was it today?

Thanks for the ice idea, it really wasn't too bad. Naturally I got all worked up before the shot, but I did it fast and it was over before I knew it. After 6 days of this, I will then get my Estrogen levels checked.

Cristina, Morgan Hill is close to me. We are close to Los Gatos in San Jose. Yes it has cooled down a ton. Thank goodness! It was pretty miserable here for awhile.
