I'm a clomid graduate. I'd be happy to share experiences, if y'all like.
I had a 50 mg month with no response, a 100 mg month with no response, and a 150 mg month with 3 follies, one being a "winner." |

Dani, for me my doctor prescribed Clomid because my progesterone levels are low. This is usually a sign of "poor ovulation" or poor egg formation. So, Clomid helps my body do all the proper stuff pre-ovulation so that I have nice good eggs waiting for DH's swimmers.

Dani~
In my own personal opinion, natural progesterone cream is best for your body if your progesterone level is low. Clomid also increases your chances of ovarian cancer if you continue to use it for several months. I have a book about natual progesterone. It's really good. My Dr is putting me on Clomid for two reasons. To help aid in the IUI mainly and b/c I'm older. My clock is ticking... tick, tock... tick, tick... |

Gina~ I've heard a lot of good things about it too. My mom has a friend with PCOS, and as soon as she started using the natural prog. cream...she ovulated for the first time in 5 years....weird. She said it made her feel really good physically too. Is clomid a form of progesterone?

The problem is that sometimes the reason your progesterone level is low is because ovulation was weak. So using progesterone cream or suppositories after the fact wouldn't do any good. I can only assume that clomid did something to affect my ovulation because my progesterone numbers jumped so drastically after only one cycle of it.
