Default Choosing an IF clinic/RE

I'm just wondering how you chose the clinic/RE that you are working with.
My OB/GYN sent my DH to this one for his SA. I recently talked with a lady who used them a few years ago, and she ended up switching b/c she was unhappy with service.

My DH had his SA there on Monday. I just called... results were supposed to be in on Friday, but today they told me not to expect them until Monday. I'm guessing the doctor is not in b/c the nurse said the reason for the wait is that the doctor needs to view the results.

DH was very unhappy with the guy who took his SA from him... he was very loud when he spoke and totally indiscrete. (I witnessed this the first time, DH said he was the same the second time.)

For those of you who had SA's done, do you remember how long between sample given and results? Is a week totally normal? I really thought this was the kind of thing that would be a much quicker process. I'm wondering if this clinic is one that will continually annoy me, or if I am just too antsy and this is the normal process?

How do you go about choosing a clinic? Do I stick with this one b/c OBGYN works with them, or should I start thinking about finding a new one?

Sarah - I haven't been put into this position yet, but I'm an advance thinker, so I have thought about it. I'm going to choose mine based on who my OB/GYN works with, and based on if any of them take my insurance. I don't know anybody who had to go to a IF/RE clinic, so I don't have any personal referals to go by.

My advice to you is to switch if you don't like the place. It'll be easier now than later when you have already gotten so deep with them. KWIM?
