Choose a Fertility Color
This is where we are going to choose our fertility color or colors.
This is a color that supports you and helps you focus through this process of trying to conceive. Many of us have been on this path a LONG time and what was once an intimate and spontaneous act with our partner has now become public, humilating, sterile, timed and medical. So I'm hoping that by us picking fertility colors it will put back that personal, human touch that is lacking from infertility. This color can be ANYTHING. The color you think of when you think of babies, or fertility, or your union with your partner or a color that makes you happy. It's a feel good color for you. Every time you see this color you will know that the universe is supportting you in this process. When you are in a procedure or going through a difficult time, the rest of us can send you this color mentally or wear it physically so you know you aren't alone. Please know that although this thought process stems from IF, whereever you are in the timeline of your TTC journey please share what your color will be. I will keep a list in this first post - but go ahead and post your colors and feelings and opinions and if you want why you chose that color - but you don't have to. I would like to choose burgandy as my fertility color. That has always been one of my favorite colors. My first car was that color and that was also the color my bridesmaids wore. I also have a lot of clothes in that color since it looks good with my coloring.

Betsy - I'd like white because the white lotus is the Chinese symbol for fertility.

I can't decide...I'd choose either green, because it represents new life and growth, or red, because it is the color of blood which give us life.
I think I'll go with green, because wearing red makes me look like a hooker.

Em made me LOL too! I think I even spittled on my computer screen a little.
 My color, lavender (already up there) is a cooling, sensual, yet calm and happy color for me. A sweet color. Sometimes bittersweet. Being blonde with blue eyes, I wear pastels well, so it looks nice on me too. It's a color that I have a sentimental attachment to; my wedding color, even my wedding dress was lavender, remember? And Daniel loves purple, any kind. As a matter of fact, I'm wearing a lavender top under my black suit today.  This is a sweet idea, Betsy. Thank you. I might even just get some little loops of satin ribbon for all the colors we end up with -- my clothing choices are somewhat limited at times. And put it in my pocket or pin it to my bra if I don't have that color to wear.

I'm going with orange. It has become one of my favorite colors. And like the others used it in my flowers for our wedding. I'm big into bold and bright. And it makes me happy! At our old house I even painted our living room a shade of orange. DH of course thinks I'm crazy! But what else is new.

OMG....Em, that was soooo funny. I'm still chuckling to myself.
OK...I know this probably sounds morbid, but the first color that came to my mind was black. What do y'all think? Too depressing? I really like black...a lot of my clothing is black...in fact my bridesmaid's wore black dresses at my wedding. Hmm..I guess my runner up color would have to be??? IDK!

Hawaiiangirl22- Black is perfectly fine. It's actually my favorite color. If when you see black it makes you happy then that's a beautiful thing. BTW what's your real name?
Rebecca - of course - it's an individual thing. Emily - OMG Steph - I think the ribbon idea is awesome. I may do that too. I chose white because it makes me think of innocence (obviously not mine  . Makes me think of diapers, booties, baby powder

I like green too.....what color of green are you thinking? I like pastel colors, bright ones. Not the normal pinks and blues...well thats not what I think of when I think baby. I know I know...I also like light yellow. My color can be yellow then!

Em~ LMAO at your hooker comment! I LOVE red! (but I like wearing it when I'm a lot thinner...) Fat red = not so attractive.
