Irene - Sounds like she has a good doctor. I'm glad. I know that she's had a few 'off' cycles. Just doesn't make sense having the the b/w not back it up. I don't get it. Well, at any rate, if it really is PCOS, there's an imbalance in there and hopefully clomid will be the miracle pill for her!!

Claire - I love talking about you as if it's behind your back. LOL

Oh and Claire - crystal hair clips Like this one. I LOVE this one. But it's wayyyy ridiculously expensive.

: :**T A R I N A***T A R A N T I N O**: :**

I have expensive tastes and a blue-collar budget.

ETA - I realize that looks like a link to some weird porn site, but I promise it's just an accessory store!

I am much better today, as I calmed down I kept reminding myself it wasn’t directed to me, but I felt really bad for the person who it was directed to. I bought my coworker (the one who pissed me off yesterday) a maternity leave present. I printed out the paraplegic letter on pretty fall leaves stationary and wrapped the book “waiting for Daisy” And in the card I wrote, I hope you read this book and maybe finally understand the hell people go through trying to have a baby, even if it’s “only” for a year. I love being a “B” =)

Irene/Becky – I didn’t even know who Richard Gere was at the time, I think Pretty Woman came out a year or two later, and I was like “wait a minute, I know him”. We were not allowed to talk to the Dalai Lama just make sure all his needs were taken care of, didn’t even touch him, although I could have. =)

Claire – PCOS really? South Beach diet???Multiple follicles are bad? I’ve always had multiple follicles…need education please. Oh and my pecker isn’t frozen!!! He’s glass. =) You can also stick him in hot water, and then you’d have a hot pecker. But I prefer him cold.

Karyn – I’m going to dispel the whole whore = pregnancy thing, cause I would have had a baseball team by now. =)

Em – There is a place here in Los Angeles that does Mayan Massages.

Luna had her sterilization today and Zorro had his comprehensive exam too. They found tapeworms on Luna, so they treated both my babies, picking them up in an hour. So no big plans this weekend. Going to baby Luna for sure. Seeing my friend that’s here from NY on Saturday, she leaves Sunday. Doing laundry, getting mani, pedi and bonding with my hubby.

Thanks for the update, Irene. I've been wondering how the appt went.

Claire - At least you know what you're working with now. There are treatments for pcos, and if you are ovulating on your own already, things should work out great. If it is insulin resistant based, then metformin/clomid will work wonders. If not (like me), clomid seems to help. When I got pg last time, I had clomid with a booster shot. My gyn won't do that though... If I went back to an RE, that is the first thing I would ask for.

Rac - hee hee... it does feel like we are talking about her behind her back!

Well, I took an opk today, but I forgot to look at it until 10 minutes had passed. It was mega dark. I'll do another one later to see if it was truly positive.

Yay! It's Friday!!!

Betsy - Yep, sometimes being a *B* is awfully gratifying! Yuk, tapeworms.... I remember when Bailey had worms - gross, gross, gross. The medication will help in no time and they'll be good as new! give your little Luna a hug and kiss for being such a trooper during her surgery.

Mare - Have you thought about going back to the RE?? Your opk was probably positive. I've looked at mine after the 10 minutes and they didn't change in color from when I checked them in the normal timeframe.

Rac - Thanks for the info. I took another one, and it wasn't positive... even after 10 minutes. I should have gotten the digital ones. They are so easy.
Time to get some BD in. I have seriously considered going to an RE again, and I know there are a few good ones in the area. I guess I wanted to give my gyn a chance... she is a family friend, and she is the one that diagnosed me with pcos (I think it was '01). I think I may do one more cycle, and then ask for a referral. I know she would have no problems with it.

Betsy - glad you are feeling better. Some days I just want to kick insensitive people in the head. I love what you did. lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Irene- thanks for asking Rhea all those ?s, I was wondering myself & texted back to her a couple of questions

Betsy - I love what you did! How did she respond?

Betsy & Irene - so I tried the IC for the first time last night... First of all, they are HUGE! In my head they were shaped like a contact lens and the size of a silver dollar. So I'm fumbling around with it last night & I swear by the time I got it in - which by the way felt like I was sticking one of those Lance Armstrong "live Strong" bracelets up my hooha - alot of the man juice (sorry I'm having brain farts here) leaked out! Maybe it'll be better next time, there are like 50 in the box so I have plenty to practice with!

Rhea- plans for the weekend? Cap'n and I are driving down to So Cal tomorrow morning for a wedding tomorrow afternoon and then we drive home Sunday morning. I bought a book on CD for the car ride, "Are you there vodka? It's me Chelsea." by Chelsea Handler, she just cracks me up!

I must say... I really enjoy reading everyone's posts. At the end of my long days (on top of having a home based business, I also homeschool my youngest so my days can be exausting sometimes), I come here and get a good laugh and sometimes a good cry. I know I don't post much these days but know that I pray for each and every one of you. I love you girls and I can always count on your support. It means a lot to me. *tear*

So.... here I sit at 7DPIUI.... ALL day yesterday and so far today I have been very crampy and super bloated. I seriously thought AF was coming. Yesterday I decided to temp just to see what it was b/c I have been having hot flashes. It was way higher than my temps are normally for 6 and 7DPO. I have most of my medicated cycles on my overlay so you can see what they usually are.... I guess the cool thing is, my temps are generally very predicible. They seem to follow the same pattern. I really hope this change in pattern means something.... nevermind all these stupid cramps! I think I will only temp for the next few days to see if the change in pattern continues. If not, than the temping stops b/c I hate obsessing over every little temp rise and fall. *insert eye roll here*

Betsy - I'm glad that you said/did something! Even if she doesn't learn from it (sounds like she's too much of a moron to get it even when its spelled out), you will feel better for having spoken your mind. Poor baby Luna - give her some kisses from me!

Mare - I understand about wanting to give your Ob a chance especially since she's a family friend but I think going back to an RE would be a good idea... especially since the trigger helped you get pg last time.

Mel - You'll get the hang of the ICs soon - LOL at the Lance Armstrong analogy. Chelsea Handler cracks me up too. Another wedding?!?!

Stacey - I hope the change in pattern and the cramps are signs of a good thing. I know what you mean about obsessing over every little temp rise and fall so do whatever you need to do.

I'm really unhappy with my chart this cycle - it is so up and down and I'm really concerned that my hormones are all over the place. It seems pretty apparent that clomid didn't do what its supposed to this cycle and its even worse than my unmedicated cycles My RE appt on 9/9 can't get here soon enough.

irene- yep another wedding, this time Cap'ns cousin. We're driving down now and a rock hit & cracked my windshield of my car that I've had for about a month! Needless to say, I'm not happy and I have to sit thru a Persian and American wedding now! I just looked at your chart, I wish I had some helpful advice, I hope your RE will...

Hi Everyone! LOL at you gals yackin it up about me . It means so much to know you were all thinkin bout me.

So, here's the better detail about the RE:

First of all, there was a couple with their 2yo in the waiting room. but I did my best to let it slide. Particularly when I found out that he is a success story of the clinic, and they drove 5 hours to be there.....ok, you people are forgiven. Plus he was really cute.

Basically it was a whirlwind trip through IF treatment-WHEW! crazy. Dr. Hottie turned out to be pretty alright.........however, I would have loved a bit more info and time with him. His nurse/assistant is great, though. I'm having to tell myself that this guy is in the buisness of getting people knocked up. period. No wasted time. I do think he knows what he is doing, though.

He skimmed my records in seconds-either he's a speed reader or he doesn't really care. He did a vag u/s (LOL, DH didn't know they could look at that angle) and all he said was that my uterus looks great, but look at all those little bitty follicles. (yeah, I thought that was normal/good-he didn't really say it was bad) he DID think I had O'd already. When he was done with the u/s he made a resoundingly affermative statement of: Well, you have something called "Poly-cystic-ov-ar-ian-syndrome" Yeah, Dr. When I told you I do a LOT of research online, I'm not sure you caught my drift. I've heard of it.

Luckily DH jumped in and said "But the last doc was certain she DIDN'T have that!". Basically, the explaination of the Dx I got was: "I see this all the time. I won't bad-mouth your other Dr. I will tell you that this is what I do-not so much what he does" (kinda makes sense.)

Oh, and before I forget-Karyn (and any other Endo gals)-he did also admit I have endo. He said that even though the endo might not block things, it DEF effects fertility. they don't know why. Just a tidbit of useless info.

So, he wants me to treat the PCOS with South Beach diet and excercise. He was very clear: I am NOT telling you to lose weight. I am telling you that you have an insulin resistance issue. If you fix that, weight loss is a s/e.

As much as I don't want to admit it and didn't want to hear it. I really think he is right. Everything I've read tells me that being fat can screw with your hormones-even if you do O normally. And so it goes. I'm tired of being fat anyhow.

From what I've been reading, (em, to answer your ?) clomid is still very beneficial even if you do O on your own.

He did NOT reccomend clomid and timed BD bc they feel it doesn't help much unless your cycles are really messed up. And the CM issue, too. I think in some ways, they figure why waste time.

So, I think DH and I have decided that we'll take the next cycle off and see how good I can do on the diet, then we IUI.

Goodness! I apologize for the novel, but I think I covered it all!

Stacy-hang in there and ditch the BBT

Irene- wish I knew what was up with your temps.

Mel- Seriously? another wedding? blech. I hate weddings.

I know I missed alot of you, but HI and thanks!

Claire - Wow, that was a lot! Sounds like Dr Hottie is on top of things. YAY!! I'm glad you have a plan and some answers. Seems he made sense of a few things, too. Good luck with South Beach! I know you can do it.

Melissa - Those IC's are tricky little buggers, but you'll get the hang of it. I think they're worse to remove than insert.

Irene - Maybe different is a good thing?? I hope so, anyway.

I spent 12 hours in my kitchen today. I painted the cabinets and walls.... I still need to do some touch up stuff and the ceiling, then dh will put in a new fan for me. MIL is coming tomorrow, so I have to clean the house and go to the grocery store, then to the funeral home. My uncle died this morning. Monday, I am hoping to get the kitchen done, but I also have to give dh a massage and finish my school project......

Claire - sounds like a good plan. I know you can do it!! Did he mention metformin? I know that really helps with insulin resistance, and people also lose weight on it. They put me on it, and I lost about 5lbs. Then they realized my pcos wasn't due to insulin resistance (they did some glucose test), and weaned me off of it.

Rac - I'm sorry to hear about your uncle's death. On a positive note, it sounds like you are going to have a whole new house soon with all you are doing!

Mel - I know... it really sounds like an RE is the best option for me... it worked in the past, why not do it again? I'm leaning towards going back. I guess I just hoped clomid would work it's magic without the shot. Oh well.

Well, I *think* I ovulated last night, but I got a positive opk today. weird. Maybe it will be today. Dh and I are gonna get our bd on today just in case. Then we are headed over to my sister's house for the day.

Hello everyone else!! I'd write more, but I've gotta go... Dh and I got a late start to our day.
Hope everyone is having a good day!!
