hi, I'm Liz. I am 20 years old, my fiance and I have decided to TTC. We are financially stable, we want a baby more than anything. this is my #2 TTC, my friends are telling me that i am making a mistake...that I should wait until i am older. I have been on my own and have worked hard for a long time and I am more mature, I don't feel like I need to have the freedom to go out and party or any of that. My fiance is 25 and he makes enough money to support us without me working. We are buying a house this June. I don't have the support of my family or friends, based soley on my age. Am I being selfish, am I making a mistake that i cannot see?? I need other women's opinoins,

You sound very mature to me.

Sometimes you just need to shrug off what other people say. A lot of times they are just jealous.

If this is what you truly want, then by all means do it. This is a free country, and there are no set rules for when and when you can't settle down and have a family.

I have seen mothers who are in their 30's, and are just simply horrible at mothering. They are still very immature and selfish.

At the same rate, I have seen 18 year old mothers, who in my opinion, are the best mothers you will ever meet.

It really depends on the person, not the age.
