Jilly ~ I was thinking about you all day yesterday. I'm still hoping for the best for you... I don't think this is going to be the month for me though, I had backache yesterday & today, feels like I do before af shows... We'll just have to see, I'm 8 dpo, just a few more days to go!

It was too quiet around here yesterday. I hope everyone is doing okay!

Happy October ladies!
Ok I don't know what is going on... I have been using this fertility monitor and I have been having alot of high days and haven't had a peak day yet. My FF calender predicted that yesterday I would O but according to my CBEFM I didn't. This morning I woke up and used the monitor and it was another high day- that makes today my 7th high day!! Is that normal?

Vickie - since you've only just started charting the FF prediction is based on the average cycle with a 14 day follicular phase and 14 day luteal phase. Until you've charted a few months, that prediction really doesn't mean much. It is quite possible to get alot of Highs unfortunately especially in the beginning when the monitor doesn't know your hormone levels yet. Have you been backing up with OPKs at all just in case?

heh heh... no, I haven't been using OPKs- I figured I wouldn't need to since I spent $200 on the monitor! lol... woops.

Rac-yeah I broke down and poas over the weekend and yesterday. I started off sunday with a reddish/pinkish spot then it turned brown that evening and I have been having a brown spot every day this week. Just enough of color to turn the toilet paper brown but no clotting. I was supposed to start my period Monday but still nothing, just this occasional brown spot.
I'm going to try the stick again tomorrow morning and either way I'm gonna go to the dr. friday (unless AF comes before then). I've never been late like this or spotted more than a couple days.
I have been reading alot about the brown spot and it seems to be a normal symptom with a lot of women that are pgs. I just hope I'm not going to start having problems.

Jilly - Yes, sometimes spotting can be a 'normal' sign and a lot of women have it. You are a few days past your normal AF day, too. Hopefully, you will get a nice bfp soon.

thanks Rac!
I have been really tired yesterday and today. My husband woke me up last two nights because he couldn't sleep (said I was snoring too loud). I told him I wasn't even asleep yet, but apparrantly I was exhausted didn't have time to think about falling asleep. I normally do not have any trouble going to sleep, but I've never had him wake me up, and not even realized I fell asleep. Sorry I know this sounds like . I feel like I'm rambling I'm so tired, still have an hour to go then I can go home and take a nap.

Vickie,

This is my third time using the monitor. First time - got preg with ds the first month, DD was a surprise so didn't get to use and then just recently I was pregnant (first try with monitor again) but lost right away and now is number 3. I had over a week of highs and now yesterday and today are peaks which are really late. But, I'm thinking with miscarriage it must have screwed my system up - although the doctor didn't tell me to wait because it was so early. So keep up with the monitor, you might even realize you ovulate late.

Good luck!!

Shannon

Thanks Shannon! I will definitely keep trying with the monitor (hopefully it will get me a BFP soon!)... It is more then likely showing so many high days because this is my first time using it and I just got off BCP not too long ago so my hormones might be out of whack.

Lately I don't know what it is, but for the past 3 days I have been having really bad cramps. I am not on AF and I haven't reached my O day yet (according to my FM). Even when I do O I usually don't cramp up like this. I literally feel like I am on AF but there is no blood. Does this ever happen to anyone else? Any explanations? Thanks!

Hope everyones is having a wonderful week so far!!

Vickie ~ I hope these are good signs for you. I know that I can start cramping 7DPO. So it is normal for me to start cramping (I save on taking HPTs that way) and starting as early as 6DPO I can start spotting. Now this isn't the norm, I just wanted to chime in on the early cramps part of your post.

Thanks Melissa! I don't know if it really has anything to do w/ AF since I haven't even O yet... oh well. Maybe my body is just freaking out w/o the BCPs

Vickie ~ Oh my gosh, I didn't realize you hadn't O'd yet! I've spotted midcycle though. Cramping, not so much. Interesting. This is the first cycle that this has happened? I know that spotting can sometimes occur with a strong O, but you haven't yet. Hmm...

Nope, no O yet. I am using this FM for the first time and I am on my 7th high day and no peak yet. My FF calender predicted for me to O yesterday but I didn't, but it's my first time using that too. Yes, this is the first time I have cramped like this when not on AF. I mean occasionally I would get a quick pain down there and that was probably when I would O (but I'm not sure because I've never tracked it until now) but that was the extent of it.. no all day cramps til now.
