Well I was just curious because your post ovulation temps are kind of low. I know that everyone's temps are different, and you still have a good shift, but if you have insurance it doesn't hurt to ask for a test.

Well the thing is I don't have insurance right now, but is it all that expensive? When I do get pregnant that is one of the first things I am going to mention to my OB though, you don't think it will be too late after I am pregnant do you?
Another thing I was wondering is my last pregnancy I didn't m/c until around 12 weeks so could it still be possible that I might have had a progesterone defeciency? Since it stuck that long?

Manda~ If you have low progesterone, your lining will not be able to hold the pregnancy. It is VERY important that your progesterone levels are within range to maintain a healthy pregnancy.

Manda, what kind of miscarriage did you have? Did you see a heartbeat? Or was it a blighted ovum or missed miscarriage? Usually 12 weeks would be pretty late for it to be a loss because of a progesterone deficiency unless you had actually lost the baby earlier but your body held on to it for awhile.

Manda ~ one of the questions on the first page of any health insurance application is 'are you or any of your family members currently pregnant?'. It's a big deal to try to get insurance when you haven't had any at all, and you have something they consider a 'pre-existing condition'. There are government programs for insurance for pregnancy, from Medicaid (you have to qualify by low income for that -- I was on it at one point but don't qualify anymore) to large hospital system programs to whatever else privately funded things to who the heck knows. You can purchase health insurance privately, or get in with a group. It can be expensive -- ridiculous sometimes. There are even insurance plans that would only cover the birth if it was a c-section, because it would be considered surgery, and surgery is covered. Anyway, my point it, it is important to know your insurance options now so you can make informed decisions.

If I misunderstood, sorry for all the information spillage, I just saw your last post about not having insurance and wondering is that important.

Progesterone deficiency is something they frequently they attribute early m/c to.

Steph- I think you misunderstood, I was talking about the progesterone testing and how much it would cost. If it is not outrageous I can have it done and pay for it. I am not on insurance right now. When I get pregnant again I will get on Soonercare, it's a government insurance program that covers pregnancy and the baby for awhile after it is born. It covers most procedures and everything, but you have to be pregnant to get it and qualify and everything, which I do. It also won't cost me anything. Sorry for the confusion.

Emily- I had a natural m/c and nothing was found out until I started bleeding at 12 weeks 2 days. I went to the ER and my HCG levels were low so they did an ultrasound and found no heartbeat and said that my baby was 8 weeks 3 days gest. Don't know much of anything else because at the time I didn't know what to ask. I had an OB appointment the day I started bleeding (earlier in the day) and she let everyone listen to the baby's heart beat but now I'm thinking it was my heart beat. But anyways she said the radiologist tech at the er was wrong and that my baby died when i started bleeding and was NOT 8weeks 3 days gest. If I go by what the ER said then yes my body held on to it for awhile but if I go by what my OB said then it was at 12 weeks. Who knows!!! I did see my baby though and i believe it was 8 weeks 3 days gest. just by pics I've seen on the net of what it should look like.

Mandamoo - I'm sorry! but she hasn't shown just yet!! This past Jan when I conceived I had a double dip.......so maybe.....its just late implantation.....and it looks like your timing for your temp was off due to the open circle.....I'll keep hoping for the best for you till she shows

Manda - hmmm okay let's thing. you started charting and doing the OPk's...what else can we add to your arsenal. I know you marked E on your CM but it is enough? It is too thick or just right? Would you consider taking a vitamin like Fertility Blend for you and your DH? I know going to the Dr to start any additional testing may be not an option for you...so we gotta find you alternative ways.

Betsy- Now thats the kind of attitude I need! Hmmm...I don't exactly know what the right amount or consistency of EWCM should be, any good sites? I've looked on fertility friend and everything but am still unsure of what is "normal". I could try the fertility blend stuff but DH won't remember to do anything remotely like that so he is out. I am willing to try anything though.

Mizz-L -I'll give another few days but believe me when (if) AF arrives you will not see me sober for the next 2 weeks! And hello birthday PARTY!

I'm thinking of taking a month break too, I just need a break.

I did the q-tip test and AF is definitely on her way plus the cramps are getting stronger.

Manda - My DH has been taking fertility blend every day since July. And it is because I place the pill in front of him. Depending on what is our plan for a given month I will either just give him one for dinner or one for breakfast and dinner. In the beginning I made it clear. He didn't have a choice. The only bad thing is it is expensive.

As far as your CM..you want your EWCM to be well like eggwhite...to stretch between your fingers. (The QTip trick is good for checking CM too.) You can take evening primrose oil or drink lots of green tea to increase your CM. That always helps to get the good to get where they are going.
