Good morning! I think AF is going to show sooner this month since i'm not on meds. My spotting is picking up to where it normally was at before ever going on any meds. Thats what it did last cycle anyways. I'm on CD27 too.....so AF should be here no later than Saturday. I'm not to upset, getting pretty used to AF every month anyways! When I hear from the dr about my b/w i'm going to ask about what meds i'm going on next month and if they do the HCG shot there. I'd like to do the shot next month and make DH do a different position lol. I might look into those instead cups too. Nothing to lose right? Does anyone else barely get CM around O? I seem to get it a few days before O and then nothing. At least nothing really shows up on TP when I wipe, but some evidence shows up in my undies. Just curious.
Rebecca~My dr I don't think has ever checked my FSH level or E2. Thats probably something I should mention huh? I've seen the FSH level checked at CD3, but you can also get it checked later in your cycle like you are? I also just read all the back posts.....you like the smell of horses? Don't they smell like manuer ![]() Claire~I was bit by a horse once and was afraid of them for the longest time. Now whenever DH and I go to TN or somewhere we can go horseback riding, we do it. I love to ride! The horse that bit me was getting its hoofs cleaned and it swung its head around and grabbed my side. Nothing broken, but huge teeth marks lol. JJ~I noticed that Becky said you're doing IUI this cycle....I must have missed that important information! I hope you and Rebecca start May off with BFP's!! I don't get the 2ndmu thing either....i've got +'s with FMU and then sometimes late at night. Hope everyone has a great day! I'm happy its nice here today.....76!!! When I get those results, i'll let you guys know!

Claire/Lindy - so no routine huh? I guess all I need to do is put up a ticker that never changes?!
Rebecca/JJ - I really hope the IUI's work for you both this cycle. Bina - we really appreciate your support. I will keep checking on you in the baby side too. Ashley - show us your haircut! Becky - do you have tilted uterus? Thats when I've heard that behind is the best. DH was praying that I had one but he's stuck with missionary LOL! I've also done that whole lay on the pillow with my hips in the air afterwards. Deanna - I rarely get fertile CM. Sometimes on my undies but usually I have to go searching to find much of anything. You're 11DPO - do you know how long your LP usually is unmedicated? I really hate the 2WW. I had a nice get-together with my gf last night but its so strange how TTC is our main topic of conversation. She's going to start TTC soon and even though I love her I felt that ping in my stomach thinking that she's probably going to end up pg before me. Have I mentioned that I hate waiting???? Deanna - That was a typo (i'll fix it). I'm having LH drawn with E2 along with my positive opk to verify the surge for ovulation. Generally, your E2 should be around 150 per mature follie. E2 is usually drawn on cd3 also (usually with LH, FSH, Prolactin, TSH, sometimes progesterone and testosterone). FSH is definitely something you want checked.... that should be a cd3 draw.
Yes, I love the smell of horses. No, they don't smell like manuer! They have a very distinct scent. |

Deanna~ Rac is right, horses have a very distinct smell....you know, kinda like DH's side of the bed! LOL, j/k. I have been bitten, kicked, stepped on, thrown off, pawed at, rolled over on by horses. LOL. It's a miracle I never broke anything. I knew a lady who was riding while PG and when she got thrown off she instinctively put her hands out to protect her belly-and broke both arms! But baby was OK. That's when I decided no riding while PG! Blah to AF BTW.
Ashley~ Forgot to say congrats Bina~ No, no, sorry, you can't play with us anymore-go to YOUR side of the playground! LOL, J/k love having you around! I'm just all full of piss&vinegar today. Rac&JJ- You know, something about the quitting smoking has my brain all fuzzy, so I keep glazing over when the scientific stuff comes up....so, I'll just say good luck! Irene- So how's the waiting going? LOL I'm just a riot. I KWYM, tho. Especially about that pain of your friend getting BFP first. Hang in there. Speaking of horses: I got on the scale today and I think I are one! grrrr. 5 lbs gained in one day! and I wasn't THAT bad yesterday. I'm anxiously awaiting AF-weird, huh? B/c then I'm done with this abstinence cycle and back to TTC. She should be here in next day or so....we hope |

Rebecca~I will mention to my dr about having the E2 & FSH checked. What exactly would FSH tell me? So you can have blood taken to check your LH surge huh? I am going to ask to do clomid and the HCG shot this cycle. We'll see where I get with that!
Irene~I know exactly what you mean about your gf talking about TTC soon. I have a friend that is starting in Aug for her 2nd and she hopes to get pregnant the first month. Then I have another friend that wants to start at the end of the year and hopes to get pregnant right away. They talk about it constantly sometimes. Last night at dinner ever! I try and block them out, but sometimes it bothers me. So i'm 11DPO huh??? I haven't been keeping track. I've been temping some. Yesterday it was 98.2 and then today it is 98.7. I thought for sure today would drop. The one month I wasn't on meds my LP was 11 days. And my cycle was still 31 days long. I believe I o'd around normal time. I got the pain and the +opk same time as I did on meds. So we'll see. I'm not testing...no way to that! Now if no Af Saturday and the spotting has disappeared again, we'll talk about POAS then.

Claire - You didn't gain 5 pounds in one day. That was probably from over the weekend at that shower plus you're close to AF, so hormones and water have a lot to do with it right now.
Oh and yep, right there with you... been kicked, stepped on, rolled over, bitten ...... Deanna - FSH - follicle stimulating hormone - is what they normally use to determine ovarian reserve. It is what stimulates the follicle - a very important hormone. Yes, LH is tested to verify the surge. I believe anything above 30 - 40 is a surge?? I'm really surprised that they're doing clomid and trigger without ever checking all of the base line levels, especially with the raised androgens and prolactin. |

Rebecca~I don't know why they haven't checked the FSH. At least I don't think she has.......I've had everything else checked. Not that E2 level. I'm not sure if she'll do the trigger shot this cycle. Thats what I was going to see if I could do. Every month i've been monitored I produce good size follies, so maybe she assumes they're good and thats why I haven't had those other 2 levels checked? IDK.....
Bina~Kegals...isn't that when you just try and hold it in? Like when you have to pee or something? I should really know what that is!

Deanna - any word yet from your doctor on your test results? I'm curious to see what they checked and if they can determine anything from it on your spotting.
I hate when I'm bored at work and I just sit and stare at my chart as if it will Fast Forward right before my eyes. Last edited by Irene : 05-06-2008 at 02:24 PM. |

My dr's office just called and they have my results but my Dr is out till Thursday. The lady said she had to call and get my DHEA level and the insulin level. That DHEA is the important one.....that was the Androgen level that was high last time. So I guess I wait till Thursday. My dr is a very busy Dr doing delivery's and surgerys. Makes me wonder if I should switch to one that is more specialized and can be more attentive to my needs. But I could just be impatient and self-fish lol. On a brighter note, my spotting is diminishing away again. My body must hate me!
Irene~I'm bored at work too! I'm trying to stay off the internet so I don't get in trouble! Rebecca/Bina~Thanks for the information about kegals. I'll have to try those this next cycle to see if anything pushes down.

Deanna - DHEA? DHEA is directly linked to pregnenalone, which is the precursorto all sex hormones - androgens AND estrogens. It's created primarily, I believe, by the adrenal glands. Is your level too high or too low?? Maybe there's something going on with the adrenals?? They're little glands that sit on top of the kidneys (primarily they create cortisol/adrenaline/epinepherine), but there are a ton of other hormones (about 50) that they're responsible for, including the DHEA. I'm not trying to freak you out, it just irritates me when doctors give a medication to cover a symptom of a potential underlying problem. I'm NOT in any way saying that there is a 'problem'. I'd just like more information.

Rebecca~I thought that maybe it had something to do with the adrenal gland. Funny thing is that when I went for that foot reflexology and she hit that point on my foot, it hurt. All my dr told me when she tested it the first time is that mine is sky high than what its supposed to be. She just called it the male hormone
My work day is finally ending!

Deanna - Yes, cortisol is the stress hormone and contributes to belly fat. That's one of the bigger ones from the adrenals. I do agree that this could be causing or at least contributing to the spotting. If the DHEA is out of whack, the others are probably out of whack. Do you remember where that reflexology point is?? Put pressure on it or rub it several times a day. Do you drink a lot of caffeine?? If you do, cut back or quit. Caffeine has a huge effect on the adrenals.
