Deanna-Thansk! and g/l with the bw today! Is it cd3 b/w?
Mel-looks like your Friday am bd'ing plan paid off and you didn't miss O, yay! Ashley-hope things calm down for you, and I can't believe MIL said that to you about the shower. |

Good morning, goils! I had a rough night last night. I still don't think I O'd and wanted to BD with Cap'n last night. Well, he's sick. He only ever gets sick once a year and when he does, he's such a baby. I made him tea and soup last night and he told me that if we BD'd, I would have to do 'all the work.' Well, he was too sick to do it last night and he started to snore so I went to the guest room and cried myself to sleep last night. I thought for sure I would get a temp rise this morning, but I didn't so maybe there is a chance tonight but I'm just so tired. I'm tired of crying to catch O. I'm tired of AF showing up. This is one sh*tty roller coaster.

Mel~ Glad you had a good retreat! Sorry bout last night, I can totally sympathize. Hopefully there's still hope this cycle.
Ashley~ Darnit, get better already! Poor girl, hope you feel much better soon. Lindy~ Atta Girl! I'll check in on the WL thread. Sorry bout the lice! bummer, I had that once as a child. Oh, and to answer your question, no testing this cycle b/c no BD I survived the shower, girls! Yay, It's over. I only got misty eyed once, and NO ONE asked me when I'll be PG- yay! I'll write more later, gotta google the specifics on the kentucky derby horse that they had to put down. The boys in the office are asking me about it (resident horse expert!) |

Mel - Glad to hear that you had fun at the retreat. Sorry that Cap'n is sick... it sucks when month after month something comes along right around O time. I hope that you get to catch it tonight. Try to remember that BDing is fun too not just a chore! I know how easy it is to forget that... we have not had time to BD at all since we got back from vacation
Ashley - I've got my fingers crossed that all went well with your test! I too cannot believe that your MIL said that to you especially so loudly that others heard it!! Looks like your temp dipped for Oing. You might not get CH this cycle though since you have so many high Post-O temps. By the way, I usually lose some of the fluids after BDing too. From what I've heard its normal and doesn't mean that you're losing all the sperm. You might want to look into instead cups if you're worried. I used them last cycle when I got my BFP. Deanna - good luck with the b/w today. I was also wondering what they're testing since you're in the tww right now? Is it just your prolactin and testosterone again? Lindy - I don't think I've ever had a tight uterus either. I've never heard of that as a pg symptom either so try not to worry about it too much. I think we've just become so much more conscious of our bodies that every twinge is more noticeable. Good luck with the new diet - sounds good so far! Ugh on the lice - I had it once as a kid and it was not fun... there is nothing worse than that crawly feeling on your scalp! I'm 9DPO today - probably won't test until 12DPO which is Thursday. Claire - I'm glad the shower was tolerable. I started to get a little worried this weekend that my O date was wrong since I think I found some EWCM. But I temped today and its still high - I would think that by now my body would be recovered from the jetlag. Hopefully the OPK was right and my O wasn't further delayed. Regardless though I'm just not feeling it this cycle... sigh... Last edited by Irene : 05-05-2008 at 09:19 AM. |

Giving blood today was terrible!!!! They didn't have any butterfly needles.......why wouldn't a lab have butterfly needles?! At one point I told her to take it out that he was stinging and hurting to bad. Its worse when you look at the needle and see that no blood is even coming out! She was moving the needle around, thats what hurt the most! She took 4 viles. I was thinking that maybe this was a good time for me to have my levels checked again since i'm spotting very very lightly still. Today is CD26 and my temp looks like its going to slowly drop. Maybe i'll have a 28 day cycle. LP was only 11 days when I wasn't on meds......so i'm assuming it might be around that this time. We'll see!
Melissa~I'm sorry you had a rough night last night {{HUGS}} Hopefully DH will get to feeling better soon and you can BD. I hate when my DH is sick cause he's such a baby too! He had his mother make him jell-o one time! Rebecca/Irene~I should've wrote down everything they were testing. I know my thyroid again, prolactin, CBC, Glucose, that testosterone level and something else. TSH....but thats thyroid right? I'm curious to see if the dexamethasone is making my androgen level (testosterone) go down. Apparently, it was sky high the first time. I'm only taking .25 a day though. That could be why my spotting is soooo light now. I used to always have to wear a panty liner. I am in the 2ww, but not hopeful at all! I feel nothing! My bbs have been sore for the last week for some odd reason. Its the sides of them Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

Irene~I just read all of your last post. Instead cups....exactly how do those work? I haven't read Ashely's post yet to see what her question was, but this last cycle i've noticed that I lose more fluid when i'm the one in control when we BD. Thats probably not a good postion when you're trying to get pregnant huh? Might be TMI....kinda am to embarrassed to ask my dr lol. Betsy mentioned those instead cups to me once before, but I wasn't sure where to even look for them!

GM ladies! I am so happy today. I did my first weigh in this am. I weighed 225.2 last week. I was scared that I wouldn't see any results this week, but I did. I weighed in this am at 223! I changed my ticker to reflect that. I also changed it to my short term goal of 30.2 pounds. I am def. sticking to this diet. On another note I am worried about when I O'd can yall stalk my chart and tell me what you think even if that means we have to wait a few more days.
Irene- Well you are still in my prayers for a French baby! Claire-I hadn't stalked charts since I got diagnosed last week, so I am really sorry. Well, hopefully this next cycle will be it for you. When are you going to weigh in? I am glad that you were able to make it through the showers with grace. I am really proud of you. Mel-I am glad that you had a wonderful time at the retreat. I understand about your DH being a baby. Why is when women get sick men are like you will be fine. Then when they get sick it is all about them and they are always such babies. I really don't get that. I understand on trying to catch the eggie. My mom told me to quit temping and all of the other stuff and just have fun for a month and see what happens. Me personally I said no, but who knows it could work. Ashley- Good Luck for the test! Oh, and I haven't subbed older spec. ed. but I did elementary and I loved it. You have a smaller class and usually on one or two kids to actually help. Well, that could be in smaller towns, but that is how it was for me. Deanna-Good Luck on your B/W today! Rebecca- Our bkfast was wonderful! I think I am going to have scrambled eggs again this am. Oh, and I had a wonderful dessert of sugar free jello last night, just a couple of sm bites but soooooooo good! |

Deanna - the instead cups don't really help much when you're on top... from my experience you lose alot in the dismount
They do say that missionary is the best position unless you have a tilted uterus and then from behind is best. Anyways if you put an instead cup in right away it keeps everything in. I really don't know how well they work though since the swimmers still have to get up through the cervix which I'm pretty sure mainly happens with the force of the actual ejaculation. I think thats why when you lose the extra stuff its really not that bad since most of the sperm thats going to make it has already been pushed in. But I figure it can't hurt to keep everything in just in case. As for where to find them I usually get mine from drugstore.com but since they're designed for AF you might be able to find them in your pharmacy in the same aisle as the tampons/pads/etc.Lindy - hard to tell especially since you didnt' have a positive OPK. Are you pretty confident on those 2 high temp numbers or could anything have effected them (restless night, alcohol, etc)? Last edited by Irene : 05-05-2008 at 10:37 AM. |

Irene - It's not uncommon for some to get ewcm after they O. I wouldn't worry about it.
Deanna - Yes, tsh is thyroid stimulating hormone. I'm anxious to find out if your androgens are lower, too. When do you hope to get the results? Melissa - Yes, this is a sh*tty roller coaster! I'm kinda glad you didn't O yet, though. You were so stressed out about O'ing while you were out of town. You'll get your temp rise. Claire - I almost cried when I saw Eight Bells on the news. It was almost as hard as watching that racer from a few years ago who was hurt. What was his name?? Started with a B..... Lindy - YAY to 2 lbs! Breakfast today was sauteed spinach and mushrooms with eggwhites and cheddar, 2 slices of ww toast. I just had a bowl of Kashi Heart to Heart for lunch and some celery and carrot sticks.... and a few almonds. |

Irene- I don't drink esp. while TTC but right now bc of the diabetes. As for the high temps I take my temp at the same time. I guess the only difference was I didn't move all night long because I was so exhausted otherwise nothing was different. I quit using the OPK bc of diagnoses. I don't plan on using again until we are TTC again in September. I do plan to temp daily.
Rebecca- Oh, that sounds good. This am I had 2 scrambled eggs sprinkled with a smidge of cheese. I also had a 1/4 cup of Curves cereal dry. A small cup of 1% milk. Did you lose the 2 pounds this past week? If so good job. Deanna- I am so sorry about the blood draw today. That is crazy. I won't do it unless they have a butterfly needle. I have really small veins so that is the only thing they can use on me. I hope you get all good results back. Oh, Happy Cinco De Mayo! I think that is how you spell it. |

Lindy - I think so...but not sure. When I went to the doctor's last Tuesday, I was 167 - that was at 1:00 PM after breakfast and lunch. When I weigh in the mornings (naked, no food, some coffee and after a bm), I am 165. Maybe I actually should 'start' my ticker at 165 and say that I lost nothing. It kinds makes me feel better seeing that it's moved, though. LOL

Irene~Thanks for clearing up what the instead cups are. So you put them in after you BD? Funny about the dismount comment
Thats when I notice I lose some fluid too. But there is no way we're staying in that position after BD! I'm going to make DH do the missionary this next cycle. He doesn't like to.....but he's gonna have to! Rebecca~I'll let you guys know as soon as I get the results! I called the nurse so we'll see. She generally takes forever to call me back! I should just stop and pick up a copy of the results. I hope that level went down and my prolactin. My prolactin is on the high end, so we'll see.

Deanna~ OMG, I know EXACTLY what you mean about the getting blood drawn. OUCH! No butterflies? WTH? Lindy~ You're awsome! Mel/Rac~ I have moved passed saddened and on to FURIOUS with this years' derby. I actually don't watch it, but I used to train horses (not race horses, but I'm knowledgable about that area) The whole problem is these horses are too friggin young to be put under this much physical pressure. Horses aren't actually DONE growing until they are 5. These guys are 3. They are BABIES! And all this is done in the name of money. When I was training and showing, there were alot of events where the big money was on the young horses, and after seeing them become USELESS at 6 years old- mentally and physically-I decided I didn't care about that money or titles. It's just not right. And then PETA is misplacing the blame BIG TIME calling for the jockey's suspension. Chances are, that jockey has been on that filly twice. And for them to think that he could have known she broke something is just ludicris. Those ponies are so amped up, the FILLY wouldn't have felt that break, until she collapsed. AAA |
