Mary- Your temp may not go down before the spike. Some do, some don't. I see open circles the past couple of days on your chart- tsk tsk! J/K. But seriously, I'd try to to get the temps around O as best as possible. Oh, you don't want to ask me about O pains! I'm weird. Every cycle for me is a little different and the pains on the left aren't the same as the pains on the right. But for me, Pre-O pains are sharp, Post-O pains are an achy crampy feeling. Rarely do I get the pains the day OF O....go figure.

Mare- You're amazing. I'd be in the waiting room with my sleeve rolled up ready for a needle by now. Have you tried all different kinds of OPKs? The one's you've used haven't all been from the same box at least, right? See, here I go again, suggesting all the crazy things I'd do!

Lindy-yay for spikes. I'm glad that your resolution to quit stressing seems to comfort you. I'm cleaning out my spare/baby room today, too......because it's the only room for the futon for MIL, and where my office is. hmmm.....someday, I'm gonna need another room!

Mel-Any news?

Brandy-OIC with the navy and all. Uggg, and moving by yourself? That sucks. I see what you mean about getting settled in CA first. I really respect you military wives. I don't think I'm strong enough to go without DH for very long. What's a "book error?"

Lindy - glad you got your temp spike. Sorry the EPT didn't work for you... I'll admit they're not great but ironically they work better for me than the Answer tests... its funny how everyone's body is different. I don't think I've ever seen directions that say to use 2MU though... the directions on the EPT website say that its best to test in the early afternoon.

Mary - not everyone gets a dip before the temp spike. good for you checking your CP - since its getting higher hopefully you'll get the temp spike soon too. Its been awhile since I've been to the movies too... my gfs and I are supposed to go see SATC next weekend and I'm super excited for a girly day!!

Mare - I'm hoping for good news from the doctor on Monday Someone should punch that receptionist (where are you Claire? )

Mel - I always wanted a boy first but I really don't care too much at this point. I went to an 'up there' high school too... I really just think that curricula have changed tremendously since I was in HS.

Brandy - I think that usually your cycle is a little longer with chemicals rather than shorter... I really hope it wasn't a 4th miscarriage for you I think Mel has a great point that you can always bring copies of any test results with you to a new doctor so it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to start having testing.

Claire - you say I'm cute researching spermies but everyone else already knew all that info The difference between boy and girl sperm makes perfect sense to me and sure explains alot!!

Steph - for viable swimmers. Are you going to start charting or using OPKs (if you don't get a BFP this one that is ) or is that back on hold with DH being a butthead?

Rebecca - any update from Brad?

I have my CD21 testing at 2:30 today so I'll get DH's S/A results this afternoon - I'm hoping that she'll decide to give me the clomid for next cycle - maybe its purely psychological but I feel like I need help. For those of you who got clomid do you have to go in often for monitoring?

Irene - No, no update yet. We really haven't talked about it. He didn't get home from work till shortly after 8:00 last night and he hardly had time for a cup of coffee this morning before I left, so maybe we'll talk about it tonight for a bit. We have until tomorrow.

When I started my clomid, my RE did a u/s and b/w the day I got my positive opk. That was to check and see how/if I had responded to the clomid. If I do clomid again this month, there will be no monitoring since they know that my body does okay with it.

Lindy - My RE told me to test with FMU. Prior to that, I had been testing in the afternoon like Irene mentioned. As far as brands, now that I have used the digital, I don't think I'll ever buy a dye test again. The digital opk is just way too simple.... O for negative for positive. Oh and YAY for a temp spike!

Mare - girlie... where are you??

Good morning, goils!

Irene ~ Waiting for results...

Mary ~ I'm going to see SATC on Sunday. I sent an e-mail to my friends here asking if anyone wanted to go so that Cap'n didn't have to go with me. I have one friend going and one maybe. I told Cap'n last night that he dodged the SATC bullet and then he started whining that he wanted to go, because he's watched the show and knows the characters and he said, he wanted to go to use it as leverage to drag me to a guy's flick!

I think my spotting may be stopping, and hopefully won't start again for a while, I need a freakin' break here!

Rebecca~ I hope I don't sound like a complete idiot here , but you are 17dpo & still no af right? I know your temps took a drop & you are expecting af to show, but are you planning to test within the next couple of days if she doesn't?

Amber - AF started 2 days ago. My ticker isn't updating for some reason. I'll have to check that out. My whole homepage was screwy a few days ago, too.

Default hi

RAC - Yes, for your vacation!!!! 26 days and counting right? How much are the digital OPK? The strips are getting on my nerves. And since I have about three left I might go ahead and waste another this afternoon. LOL

Ok let me vent here for a second,

DH and I have a pretty strict budget, and now especially with gas. I most of the time bring my lunch to work, and mostly leftovers. DH goes out to eat. We set a $6-7 limit for him on lunch, which I would think is plenty. Tuesday he went for pizza, $9.28, and call said he was sorry and wouldn't eat Wednesday, yeah right. Well today I get online and check the bank account, and he went out yesterday and spent $11.77!!!!! This is so annoying and frusterating!!! Why do I have leftovers everyday and he gets to go to the Sizzler? Then I send him a sort of nasty email, and he gets rights back, he is so sorry, but can we still have a nice weekend? Urrrgh!!! So immature sometimes!!!! Ok that was it, and I know it's not like he did anything that bad, it's just that I have to have this conversation with him once a month. Maybe I should just sell the boat, and tell him that we couldn't afford it anymore with the lavish lunches he HAS to have.

And Claire I'm an idiot, what is tsk? And I was out of town and knew the temps would be all over the place with all the Miller Lite I drank.

Ok I'm going to get over the lunch and stick with my plan of cleaning the house today, although I would really like to go to Old Navy and buy some new clothes, and I don't even like to shop!

Mare - Any new news?

I'm here. I just had a hectic morning. TGIF! I hope everyone is doing well.

Claire -- The first tests I used were FRER, and then I got some CBE digitals. I still have one left, so maybe I'll use it tomorrow morning if AF doesn't show. It really feels like AF is coming any second, so I feel like I'm wasting them.

This is driving me crazy!!! Do you think it is possible to have a bfn at 17dpo and go on to have a later bfp?? I am having all sorts of mixed feelings...I really don't want to get my hopes up.

Irene ~ I can't chart b/c my sleep-schedule is so jacked, there's no way I would EVER get viable data. I use OPKs sporatically, b/c O and symptoms have always been so regular and obvious. But there have been a handful of times over the past few years (clomid, cycle length changes, starting the natural progesterone cream) where I needed the OPKs to make sure. I've probably done ten sets or so total.

As far as how it goes w/Daniel...we'll see. At this point, I have NO idea what the future holds for me. I've changed my approach to the whole situation; not worrying about his daily stuff. As long as he pulls his weight financially, and doesn't do things to aggrivate me, I'm just keeping to myself. Going to bed by myself, etc. Dunno yet. But we all know Stephanie's life can turn on a dime. We'll see. Three-four weeks is a LONG time in my world...

Thanks, Bina!

Mare ~ OMG, you must be going crazy, I know I would be.

Mary ~ I'm in a similar situation as you. Cap'n goes out to eat practically every day! I go out maybe 1 or 2 times a week, I can't believe he is not 500 lbs! He goes to Starbucks pretty much every day, he knows the barista's names, it is just ridiculous. He is very hard headed to change his eating habits and doesn't grasp the concept that heart disease runs in the family. If there is an upside at all to this is he gets reimbursed from work for some of his meals out, like when he is on the road for work, but still, all the other times he is out to eat needs to stop.

Mary - It's about 28 days, actually. The digital opks are pretty $$ - like $30 for a pack of seven, but they save your sanity.

Mary and Mel..... I can't comment on the lunch since my dh doesn't eat breakfast or lunch (can't in his line of work), so I eat at the cafeteria just about every day. Oh, then when I'm at the mall, I HAVE to stop at Starbucks. I'm addicted. Maybe if I ever have a baby, I'll stop since I'll need the $$ for diapers and onsies.

Mare - I never got my bfp till 17 or 18 dpo and neither did Cassie. I'm not sure if there are other late testers here or not. I do know that the hcg is metabolized by everyone differently and takes longer to get into the urine. I've actually heard of women never getting a positive pee test. Hang in there.

Gotta run... Tehva is outside barking her head off because I'm in here and she's out there. I took 1/2 day today to get my car inspected, so I'm just hanging out reading magazines (and drinking the starbucks that I bought after I went tanning). I also gave the dogs a bath. We're taking them tonight to meet the woman who will be keeping them while we're on vacation. Pray that they're well behaved!! I got a few pictures of them today, too. I'll have to post a few.

Rebecca - I would love to see some doggie pictures! I have to get my fix from other people's dogs since we really can't have one.

Mare - so I wasn't crazy when I said I thought that there was something about HCG being processed into your urine! I knew I'd heard something like that somewhere... Rebecca has a much better way with words than I do!!

Mary and Mel - I can't really comment on the lunch thing either... DH usually spends more on that than I do but then again there are so many things that I spend more on (like shampoo, haircuts, hair coloring, etc.) that I'm sure it more than balances out and probably in his favor! I hope you guys can come to some kind of resolution... maybe cutting back on food isn't the way but they can cut something else out?

Steph - you could always just chart your CM, CP and OPKs... I like having things to stalk so I can see what CD people are on...

I just got back from the doctor. She gave me a prespription for 50 mg of clomid so if I'm not pg this cycle thats the gameplan for next cycle. Its still nuts though because she said start taking it for 5 days on CD3 then 5 days after that start BDing every other day... its like BBT/OPKs are not even in her vocabulary! I also got DH's S/A and it wasn't perfect. This time the morphology was a little off but motility was fine - there was no reading for pH. Here are his results and also the results from last time:
vol 6.5 mL / conc 82.7 mil/mL / mot 71% / morph 12%* / Total Count 537.6 / Forward progression 2+
vol 7.5 mL / conc 144.5 mil/mL / mot 27%* / morph 44% / pH 8.1*

She said that because his concentration and total count was so good its probably not an issue but they technically want the morphology to be greater than 15%. Its so strange that the morphology and motility vary so greatly from sample to sample...
