Thanks, Mel. I missed Irene's story but went back to read it. That sucks...I'll never understand how people can leave their children for extended periods of time. I know sometimes, even with a really young one, you HAVE to leave them for a day or a few days, and you can't do anything about it. We had something like that happen with someone around here a while back...can't remember who...it was a complicated out-of-town funeral situation I think. I posted a story a year or so ago about that Spice Girl who had the kid with Eddie Murphy, and she left her in GB to fly across to the US (Posh's birthday? I'm fuzzy on the details), because she couldn't get the baby a passport yet (because of the paternity issues, she blamed HIM that she HAD to leave the baby behind); the baby was WEEKS old and she left her for a week. To fly to the US for a party. I'll NEVER understand that. Everyone needs breaks. But this days and days and weeks and months at a time thing is so far outside my realm of comprehension...

While we are on the subject of people having kids that they shouldn't have! Here is a story I picked up off of Yahoo news today! I couldn't imagine ever doing this. It is awful and I am glad that investigators stepped in!

BERLIN - Authorities in southern Germany said Saturday they have taken custody of a 7-month-old boy after his parents posted an ad on eBay offering to sell him for one euro, the equivalent of $1.57.

Peter Hieber, a spokesman for police in the Bavarian town of Krumbach, said the baby was placed in the care of youth services in the southwestern Allgaeu region, although the child's 23-year-old mother insisted the ad was only a joke.

Authorities have launched an investigation into possible child trafficking against the baby's mother and 24-year-old father, neither of whom was identified.

"Offering my nearly new baby for sale, as it has gotten too loud. It is a male baby, nearly 28 inches (70 cm) long and can be used either in a baby carrier or a stroller," police quoted the ad as reading.

No offers were made for the child in the two hours and 30 minutes the ad was posted on Tuesday. EBay later deleted the posting, but assisted police in tracking down the parents.

Several people who saw the ad alerted police.

Default Quick question

Hey everyone... I was outside, came in to use the restroom, and I noticed I have a lot of EWCM. I have no clue why... thoughts? It is hot outside (don't know if that has anything to do with it). We BD last night, but the consistency is nothing like DH's swim team. CM this morning was creamy.

Thanks in advance. Sorry... learning in progress

Irene - I generally don't round at all. If my temp is 98.49, I would normally just chart 98.4. I think I do it that way because that's what TCOYF said to do. I dont' think one way or the other is wrong. I guess it's about personal preference and consistency (like I was being consistent today!).

Mare - About the cm....it's not unusual to see ewcm in the 2ww. There is still estrogen present even though progesterone is the dominate hormone is this phase. I wouldn't think much of it.

Rebecca & Irene ~ I used to own the whole Anne series but gave them to my SIL who never read them. I own the movies too but on VHS, I need to upgrade. In 2004, Cap'n and I took a road trip to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI. He was such a trooper when we went to PEI and we got all into the Anne and L.M. Montgomery thing! He even took me to see the Anne of Green Gables musical. It was a wonderful trip, I recommend it to any AoGG fan

Lindy ~ That story made me sick, ugh!!!

Mare ~ LOL at the swim team joke, too!

Irene ~ I round at > .05 too, it is a math thing with me, idk

Well, as you know my parents are in town and we went to see the new Indiana Jones movie. eh. The other ones were better, but Shia made it not so bad (Now I look like a cougar!) But what irked me is that someone brought their baby to the movie and the poor thing was crying the whole time!

Melissa - I would love to go to PEI. It just looks like such a beautiful place. However, the movies were filmed somewhere in Ontario (they talked about it some 'extra' stuff on one of the dvds). If I ever get to PEI, I would be all over the AoGG stuff!

So you girls are starting to get to me (even though some of you don't even look at or mention my chart - LOL). I almost poas today, but I refrained. Maybe tomorrow if my temp still looks nice.

Morning everyone! It's been a pretty busy weekend around here! DH and I went hiking yesterday and then spent most of the rest of the day outside. The weather has been beautiful! My allergies, however, have been acting up big time!! Oh well. Not sure what the plans are for today. I'm going to do some scrapping as soon as I got off the computer. After that, I'm not sure...

Bina - today is 12dpo. I'm not sure why you can't see my chart, though.

JJ - How are you doing in your 2ww?

Happy Sunday! I'm a little bitchy this am....ok, I'm alot bitchy. But I'm all by myself, so there's no one to notice. Ha Ha

Ashley-girl, I just want to smack your DH upside the head.....and then his mother. WTF? MIL does NOT get to even *think* about when a good time to ttc is. HAve you asked DH what brought about this change of heart? I agree with everyone else-he is scared. Not that I blame him, I'm scared of becoming a mommy and often question if I am ready. I have problems with my DH and the TTC thing, too. Only mine says if we don't get PG in a few more months, then he doesn't want to try anymore b/c he doesn't want to be OLD and a dad
