Hello All...
It's been a while since I've written. I need to catch up on everything. Things have been really crazy around here, and I will be so glad when the week is over!

I work at an estate planning law firm, and my boss called me out yesterday because I presented a client with final documents in the wrong font. I always change things to Arial because it is easier on my eyes, but I forgot to change them before printing the final copy. It just slipped my mind, and my boss chewed me out in front of everyone. Stupid mistake. My boss is usually really nice... I guess he was having a bad day. It took 10 minutes to fix the error, but I felt like a complete moron for the rest of the day, as the other associates started micro-managing me.

Anyway, I get home, and to cheer me up my DH recommends taking the kids (dogs) to the lake. Well, we have fun, come back home, and our best friends call... guess what... they are pregnant. I know they will be absolutely wonderful parents and I am so happy for them, but after we got off the phone I just went into the bedroom and cried. I then walked into the bathroom and pulled out a POAS.. negative . I know it is early, and my urine was really light in color, but I just sat there and prayed... begging for a BFP while staring at the stick.

Sorry... I just had to share with someone. I don't really have anyone to talk about it with (DH's eyes glaze over after a while... lol). I know my day will come.

Other than that, things have been okay. I've been craving jalapeno peppers like crazy. Yesterday for breakfast I had an omelet with peppers, lunch - a burger with peppers, and dinner - steak with peppers. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!

It sounds like everyone is doing well... Rebecca... that place looks beautiful!

Welcome Melissa!

Mary - Yep, silly question. I don't test. It's that simple. If I am temping and my temp stays up around 14dpo, I *might* test.

Mare - You have dogs, too??? I love dogs!

Ugh. I just went to the rr and figured I would check CM/CP. I'm getting some weird discharge and I'm not sure if its all from the HSG. I had a clump of what could have been EWCM with a little spot of blood - it was really stringy but more solid than EWCM though so I'm not sure if thats what it was. But there was also a clumpy white discharge in there kind of like a yeast infection - its tinged pinkish which I'm sure is spotting from the HSG. There's no odor and I'm not itchy or anything but I've had yeasties with no other symptoms but discharge before.
Edit: DUH! I just realized that it probably is a yeastie from the stupid antibiotics... I forgot to take a probiotic

Mare - sorry about the BFN but as you said its early especially when not using FMU. Its hard when your friends are all getting pg with no problems. Such mixed emotions since you're happy for them but jealous at the same time.

Mary - careful with the BJs around fertile time... supposedly saliva is not the best thing for swimmers.

Default Kids and Children

Haha... we have two dogs, a mixed breed and a Golden Retriever. DH and I keep joking about referring to them as our kids... they both come running when we say "Come here Kids!" What is going to happen when we have 'human' kids? haha. DH says we will just have to refer to the humans as children. So we will have kids and children. lol I'd like to post pictures of them in my signature... may do that tonight.

Thanks... feel better

Irene~After my HSG I had odd spotting a few days afterwards. Not sure if it was my normal spotting or what though. Just thought i'd add that. I've never had a yeast infection so i'm not even sure what to look for on that! Oh and oh my I tried the instead cups yesterday after BD and i think i'll just lay there. How the heck do they work? The little pictures don't help me! Maybe i'm dumb, but I couldn't figure out which way they went in and exactly how far up...lol.

Mary~Sorry about the phone call you got yesterday. It is really hard. The last phone call we got was from DH's BF on Christmas day to tell us his girlfriend was pregnant. I bawled my eyes out at DH's parents! Your time will come soon

Claire~You crack me up!

Thumbs up

Thanks Irene and Deanna -- I am so very happy for them, but I can't help the fact that I'm jealous. They asked me and DH to be the God parents, which we happily accepted.

I love it here... I have a place share my thoughts and feelings, and people that understand where I'm coming from. If I told anyone in my family (other than my mother), they would just say I'm being selfish. I got upset with my SIL last year because she called me on my wedding anniversary to tell me and DH that she was pregnant with #2... this was less than 1 month after we had a miscarriage. I told my MIL that I felt that my SIL was being insensitive, and she promptly gave me a speech.

Mary had it right... I love you guys!

Claire ~ Luckily, we didn't have to pay for the class. I still have to look at the packet of information but all the girls got lab slips for CD3 and CD21 b/w as well as a s/a lab slip with cup. LOL at selling yourself for muscle.

Irene ~ Cap'n and I are moving in a couple of months and I don't think I will want to drive to my doctor from where we may be moving to, so switching doctors will happen. Also, I may not have insurance next school year, so I may be on Cap'ns insurance plan different from mine. BTW, I had a little stringy discharge after my HSG, I shrugged it off as to a little bit of the lining, idk.

Mary ~ Believe me, it took a lot of arguments to get Cap'n to that meeting last night! I let him have it for not being there with me for the u/s and hsg!

Mare ~ I think we can speak for all of us when we say we understand the feeling of having a friend or co-worker be pg, it sucks. About a month ago my mom told me that my cousin's son, who is 10 years younger than me got his 'wife' (we're not sure they are married or not) pg. I was lamenting that my aunt will be a great grandma before my mom is a grandma. Luckily, they moved back to CT so I don't have to hear or see play by plays.

Well, last night, Cap'n was checking for more job postings for me and he noticed that the school I interviewed with posted two more job openings, one for one class of biology and the other for one class of AP Bio. I'm wondering if that AP Bio class is the same one I interviewed for or an additional section. I'm going to call after school today to find out if I got it, but I don't feel hopeful and I might as well add that I think AF will be here today, I have some cramping. Yay.

Mel- hmmm, I wonder what those job postings are about? I think it's a good idea to call and find out about it. And if they don't want to hire you, then they don't deserve you anyhow and they are stupid poopie-heads. Glad the class gave you all that good stuff for testing. I like forward progress!

Mare- Sorry about the BFN. I know how you feel about other people and PG. When I was in TX I saw an old friend who just popped out #3 and when I was telling her about my surgery, and testing and temping and DH's s/a she just looked at me like I was crazy. She just couldn't understand. Can't believe they ragged you out over a FONT! Jeeze, people! and I call my dogs "kids", too. They come to "come on kids".

Mary- Oh, yes I had to bj just to get things going. That's what I meant by "work". Irene is right that saliva is bad for the spermies, but I figure "hey how much spit do I REALLY use?" To sacrifice a few is better than none, right? LOL

Mare - I glittered your name up if you want to use it:

Mel - thanks. I just browsed the internet and I found a couple of places where women have talked about their discharge after the HSG being kind of clumpy like wet tissue paper. Thats kind of what I found so I guess I'll just watch it for the next couple of days.. it just stinks because I wanted to start BDing tonight. I agree with Claire that calling to find out whats going on with the job is a good idea... the least they could do is tell you if they're not going to hire you.

Claire ~ Thanks for being excited for me. I may let you do it by yourself until I'm actually successfully in the 2ww next week. Everytime before in the past year like it looked like things were turning around, the proverbial 'other shoe' not only dropped, but konked me in the head and gave me a concussion.

So you be excited for me. I'll wait until those swimmers are swimming...then I might settle a bit.

Gosh, there is so much going on for y'all around here. I wish everyone success!

Good afternoon ladies! I see yall have been busy little bees in here. I went to DD school today for a hawaian themed party. There were two PG moms there and one with a six week old baby. I was so sad. There was another mom there that had lap surgery last week and found out she had really bad endo and two large cysts. She was moving around rather well though. I am concerned we aren't getting PG bc of his volume of stuff! KWIM?

Claire- You are tooooooo funny. You really should be a comedian!

Mare- So you are an attorney? That is what I want to be when I grow up! I am going to become a teacher and then go on to law school and do family law. I am glad to see that you are back and chatting. I was just wondering where you were yesterday!

Mary- I would do at least one more cycle before I asked the dr what the hockey sticks is going on. I had no idea that TTC meant you had to do OPK, Temp, CM. and CP just for them to consider that as TTC! What kind of planet do they live in. I am begining to hate dr's.

Mel- I don't understand why places refuse to call back and let you know whether or not you go a postion that you interviewed for. I hope that you get the position.

Irene- Awwww, I hope that it's not a yeastie! I am glad you are feeling well after the HSG. I hope all goes well this cycle and you get your BFP!

Ashley- Isn't amazing the miracle of life. I was there holding up my God Mother's leg when my God sister was born. It was the most amazing expierence I have ever seen. I am so happy that you were able to be a part of it. You will be next in getting a BFP!

Ok, here is one movie review that I will be happy to recommend to all of us TTCers. Ok It is called the Business of Being Born. Ricky Lake was the one who wanted to make this Documentary. Oh, and boy does it make you think about how much Dr's make decisions about us without really informing us on all the decisions we make about ourselves. It is a Pro-Home birth/ Midwife documentary. This film was so moving it has caused DH and I to question whether or not we want to have a baby in a hospital where Dr's push Pitocin and C-Sections VS at home or ata birth center where Natural is best (unless there is an emergency!) It has opened my eyes bc of the experience I had with DD. My contractions didn't hurt when I had natural labor pains, but that Pitocin caused a non stop horrific pain that had me balling like a baby. I had an epidural at 2 CM bc of the agonizing pain. I am recommending that everyone watch this documentary and give me some feed back. This will be my first movie review in a new thread that I will post today. I just wanted yall to check it out first. TTYL. Happy Hump Day!

Well, I called and left a voice mail (a bumbling message at that!) with the office manager who will then give it to the principal. The principal gave me her cell number and I am debating as to whether or not to call that one....what do you gals think? I worked myself up so much calling that I was shaking. I don't know why I have the jitters? Maybe deep down I really really want this job? Maybe I'm afraid of rejection? I checked the job website again and they put up another job posting this time for a 100% Biology (Full time = 5 classes).

Lindy- I've been meaning to help you address you DH's volume. Now, knowing what I know about your man, I have to ask: did he abstain from ALL ejaculations for 2-3days prior to getting your sample? And How many times has he actually measured his volume and it was low? Lots of things can cause a low volume and are not to be concearned. There's only one thing I've learned of that causes a low volume that is a problem, but I'm not sure it is very common. One thing I've learned about sperm (I've learned alot lately) is that you really can't consider anything to be his "norm" until he has tested a few times. Kinda like if I asked a girl what her day after O temp is- well, every month it's a little different.

Mel- I hate it when people call my cell. But I don't give that # out unless I expect to get called there, KWIM? I say (speaking as an employer) that calling to ask if you got the job or not is a good thing. It shows them you WANT it. And if they have other positions open, it's a good excuse to ask if maybe they can consider you for the other positions.

Claire- Yes he abstained from himself so we could do the a
