Bina - Vacation is next month - about 5 weeks away.

About the tampons, I quit using them when a midwife told me that the polyester fibers in them are carcinogenic. That was many years ago. Yep, pads are gross, but I'd like to keep my parts. Tampax used to make a 100% cotton, called Naturals, but I haven't seen them anywhere in years.

Irene~The blinkie you made of my name is perfect! Don't change a thing! Now if only I can figure out where my signature went??? I'm glad the hsg didn't hurt too much. I think my dr is wanting me to get one if I'm not pg this month.

Ashley~I'm sorry that your temp is going down It was looking so good.

Rebecca~That trip sounds fun! I'm with you on the no tampons thing. Haven't used one since High School I was always afraid of TSS (or whatever it's called). I know it's rare, but I have always been a hypochondriac about everything!

Melissa~All that spotting is awful!! Have you always had a lot of days of it, or just recently?

Steph~I think I put up one of your "relax" blinkies. LOL That is, if I have a signature. I didn't see it before.

I would just like to share something with everyone, but particularly Mel and Mary: In my journey of cervical (pre)cancer, endometriosis and adenomyosis, I have learned one thing: alot of the things we have been conditioned to think are "normal" actually aren't. Cramps that knock you on your butt and bleeding that can't be contained by normal methods isn't good! In the history of gynecology it seems the experts went from thinking the cramps were all in our heads to everyone has them and now they are getting real about it. I just want to throw that out to everyone because I love ya'll so much!

Mary- You asked if we think you should go back to the doc-I'm not sure when your last visit was, so I can't really answer.

Irene-YAY, I'm so glad the tubes weren't blocked! I'm such a ditz, I didn't formally anounce my color in the thread, but a dark forrest green, please. Something earthy.

Steph- I'm so excited to have you TTC again........uh, I mean, shhhhh mums the word. Thanks for those blinkies! I want one, but I think I must be a moron b/c everytime I try to add something down there the program gets all nazi on me about only using 7 lines?!?!? So I gave up and that's why it looks so jacked right now.

Rac- how beautiful AND romantic! I'm glad they are chilling your champagne already.....maybe it'll be like washing the car to make it rain, KWIM? And you won't be able to have champagne when you get there! Oh, and in honor of you I tried to only wear a pad last AF. I tried, I really did. But SCREW that! LOL! Carcinogenic, huh? Maybe that's like how toilet paper causes colon cancer......(an aunt of mine actually told me TP causes colon cancer and I told her- yep, 100% of people diagnosed w/ colon cancer have used toilet paper!) besides, I've already had the cervical cancer, so I guess it's too late for me-LOL

Ashley- I haven't stalked your chart yet. How ya doin, girl?

Mel- I really hate your spotting. I still have for that new job for you.

Deanna- good luck w/ bd and O.

Claire - You're absolutely right. There are so many things about women's cycles that are thought to be 'normal', but aren't. They should be virtually painless. The blood should be bright red and flowy - no dark red/purple/black clots and last about 4 days. That's one thing that I have been able to change over the past couple of years. My periods are now 'normal'. YAY!

About the tp and colon cancer - that makes perfect sense. We should all be using leaves to wipe our asses and risk getting poison ivy. LOL I'm glad you at least tried a cycle with no tampons.

Thanks about the room. I showed the website to dh. He was scared to ask how much it was! Of course, I didn't tell him that I bought the memories package, but he'll like it once we get there.

JJ - I'm not afraid of TSS, I just have this aversion to putting things in/on my body that are clearly not natural. How are you feeling since your IUI??

Deanna - Unfortunately, it's only Tuesday. I'm ready for Friday, too. We get out of work 2 hours early and I have NO SCHOOL next week! Looking forward to it like you can't believe! I need a break.

Ashley- I am sorry about the temp drop. I know how hard it is to think this is the cycle and bam, it's not.

Rebecca- How exciting! I do hope that you will not be able to drink the champagne. I am still praying for you!

Mel- I hope that you get this job! Any answer yet?

Claire- I hear you on the cramps and bleeding issue. My mom had a hysterectomy in November bc of her bleeding with clots that were golf ball size for 6 days. She would go through a pad and tampon every half hour. Her cramps were horrible. I have only had one period like that and I hope to God I never have it that bad again.

JJ- How did the IUI go? I will be praying for you as well.

Deanna- I will be praying for you this cycle. Have fun BD!

Anyone I missed I am so sorry! We are off to watch Untraceable. Oh, and any ideas on what can increase a mans volume ? We ordered Preseed tonight. I hope we get it by Friday!

JJ ~ If you look back on my charts (if you can) you can see that several of my cycles have had many days of spotting, the last one that comes to mind that was this bad was back in October when I had my meltdown.

Claire ~ Thank you! Can I bring you with me to my doctor???

Lindy ~ No word yet on the job, I will probably call tomorrow after school if she doesn't call first...

Well, Cap'n and I just got back from our IF class. He got lost on the way to the hospital and was a little annoyed when he arrived, but the class started 20 minutes late due to a room change and LCD projector problem. I was watching him throughout the class and he got drowsy. He told me afterwards that he was bored out of his skull. The class was okay. I mean it was 2 hours long and I knew a lot of stuff about the anatomy and hormones. A couple of things to note: She basically dismissed BBT, she said to forget it and it takes too long and its time consuming and basically put her emphasis on OPK and b/w. I should have asked her though, if you don't temp, you can't verify you O just on OPKs b/ you can have a surge and not O, right? Whatever. She gave some great info on who to contact regarding insurance stuff, the lap, info on HcG (which I knew little about) and she talked about clomid. I asked her how long they would put a patient on clomid and she stated that everyone responds differently but if a patient responds well to it, they can have them on it for up to a year! Also, my particular office/hospital does not do IVF, the closest one is in Fremont which is 45 miles away through some congested areas, ugh! I hope I don't get to that stage.

Wow Did I miss alot today... It's ok. I have to say that today was lifechanging for me. I'm super exhausted and I didn'treally do anything, but my bf (some of you may know her from here...) Crystal, had her baby tonight. I was with her the whole time... kinda weird and def very unexpected, but it was so amazing. I felt terrible for her, she was in so much pain and I had no idea how to help... I just kept feeding her ice chips and hoping that she wouldn't squeeze my hand too hard j/k... Anyway, I'm super tired after a long day subbing and then experiencing the miracle of life. I also have to sub tomo and then go visit her and the little guy (BTW she had a boy) oh and he's healthy! I'll catch up... sry for not being too helpful. I'm just bummed and after tonight, I think that I want a baby more now than ever. I was so hoping for this to be my cycle, but I just knew it wasn't. Maybe next month??

Hey ladies! I miss you guys sooooooooo much!! I peek in every few days to check on everyone. I'm sorry I've been distant and not posting. A lot has been going on with me emotionally. I've been wanting to give up TTC altogether b/c it's just a lot to deal with.

We're on cyce #16 now and I never thought in a million years I'd be in this spot. After much convincing from DH, we've decided to go ahead with another round of Femara and IUI. We are going to do it unmonitored though (no u/s). I believe she did mention b/w however. DH is scheduled for an S/A on the 27th to see if his count went up any. If it's under 25mil I think I may tell them we won't bother with the IUI. Our next opportunity won't be until August since I will be in Cali for July's O. If we do go ahead with the IUI this cycle and I don't get a BFP, I think we'll stop TTC altogether. I don't think I can handle much more of this.

I will try to post as much as I can, but I am really not into this TTC thing as I used to be. I hope you all understand. I really do miss you girls! *HUGS*

Lightbulb Help?

Ok, I'm new at this (like I said in my intro...)...but I'm kinda excited, kinda nervous all at once....

This month is the first that I got a full meter on my ClearBlue Easy Fertility monitor, and we didn't BD around that time because we were trying to get everything in order for our wedding (which was Sat). So I got the full meter probably Tuesday/Wednesday (May 12-13) , but no BD. After the wedding, we did BD (May 18, but not in expectation of anything) prior to the full meter the last BD was probably the Thursday/Friday prior (May 8-9)...

I am now spotting like pink and 6 days earlier than AF should arrive. Also having cramps as well (which is common with AF, but not until about 2 days prior to arrival...)

I guess the big question is could I be preggers? It wouldn't be a bad thing, and we'd both be thrilled! Just weren't expecting something this soon...or am I reading something into nothing??

I have been off depo for 2 years exactly as of this month. I'm excited to this that it's possible we're pregnant, but in another thought, nervous at it happening so soon...

Thanks for any advice or info!

Melissa

Melissa- It could very well be O. I sometimes get spotting when O. Your ovulation could have been delayed b/c of all the excitement of the wedding (congrats BTW). I'd wait about a week and test. If it's BFN, wait another week and test again. GL and KUP!

Mel - Yep, that would have been a good question to bring up. Seems a lot of doctors/medical people dismiss temping. My previous gyn told me to throw my thermometer out because it causes too much stress. Okay, what ever!

PrincessMelissa - It's possible that you could be pg, but like Stacey said, you could have a delayed O. Without temping and confirming ovulation, there's really no way to tell until you're acutally late.

Default Morning

Hey ladies, Is it Friday yet? LOL.

Well AF was here and gone.

Can I steal the blinkies too?

My Mom was over last night, tried to give me the whole relax thing to, I went ahead and told her, that she should try to relax. I personally don't think that I am over stressing, I'm just now learning my cycle. Which brings me to my next question, would this be our #3 Cycle? I feel like we've been trying for the last year so to me I want it to be cycle #15, not that I want it to be that. But you all kwim. I wish I would of been here earlier.

Tampon user.

RAC the vacation sounds great, DH and I have a small cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks, although the campange won't be chilled when we get there it's nice. Anything to get us out of our normal routine.

So my last dr appointment was 4/15, and she said to start temping and BD on the last day of AF, and every other until you've O'd. And that she would probably see me in a few months with good news. That's was nice some posistive feedback. But now I want to go back I want to find out what's going on. More answers, quicker of course.

Well I will be heading to the book store tonight, pick up my copy of TCOYF, for a fun filled weekend with both of our families. The weather is going to be warn and sunny, and since were hard core boaters, that will be nice. Since I should be Oing around that time, I think we'll take a break from preseed this month, and then order some for June.

Ok I have tons to do still before we leave Friday!

Sorry I didn't get to everyone I just used you all to vent. Sorry

Mary - Yep, I guess it would be cycle 3, although you were having unprotected bd for the year prior, right?? I guess it's all in how you look at it. There's a really good chance that you won't have to wait much longer. A lot of the girls here (who didn't have any fertility issues) got pg within the first few cycles of temping. You're on your way. You will love TCOYF, too. You'll be amazed at the things you learn from that book that your doctor would never tell you.

Oh and that's not where we're staying for our whole vacation. That's just one night going up and one night coming home. Here's where we're going for the whole week.....

About Ojibway of Keewaydin
