Forgot to tell a funny story.... You all saw the pictures of my babies, right? You see Nimosh and his really stupid look on his face - like 'DUH?" Well, brilliant boy was no where to be found when I got home from school. I asked Tehva where her brother was, but she didn't much care. I went upstairs - nothing, kitchen - nothing.... found him - in the closet. He got in there to try and steal food and shut the door behind himself. What a dork!

Rebecca that is too funny. Labs are very inquizitive!(sp) As for the Duh look it gives them charm. You two are the cutest!

I hope that everyone is having an exciting day today. My poor little cousin cried for his mommy this am. It was sooooo sweet. He hasn't done that before. Oh, and since I quit temping I haven't been so stressed. I am already at 7DPO! I wanted to give yall an update on my friend that tried for 8 years to get PG and just did with IVF. She is preggo with twins! Please pray for her. I want her to get both of her babies. She's been really sick feeling and throwing up the last several days. She said even though she feels like crap she is excited! I am soooooo excited for her.

Ok, my cousin is ready to do something. I am sure that we will go swimming early today before it hits high 90's! DD is learning how to swim without a life jacket. I am just so sad that she is growing up so quick! As for my cousin graduating it doesn't make me feel old but it does make me feel sad. I remember when we were both little I would carry him around and we were inseperable. He has always been my favorite. Now he is moving off to college. Ok, I am freakin tearing up and am going to cry. I will try and catch up some more this weekend.

To all of the TWW: good luck.
To all waiting to O: Tell the spermies to catch the O!
Rebecca- good luck with the IUI!

TTYL!

Rebecca~I was wondering that about those massages too. If it breaks it up that would be good. I emailed the girl that does it around here. If I don't hear anything in a few days cause i'm not sure if I did it right?? I'll just call. Af is here now too. I had a shorter cycle than normal at least!

Good morning ladies! My temps are really flat this month (for me anyway)... I'm not thinking I'm pg but I'm really happy if my hormones aren't fluctuating as much... although I guess once I start clomid that won't matter much! Even though my temp hasn't dropped yet I'm pretty sure that it will either tomorrow or Saturday. Which means I get to start clomid soon! Yay!

Lindy - I'm glad you're feeling better now that you're not temping. Hopefully its just what you need. I will pray for your friend - I hope she has no problems carrying those twins the whole 9 mos!

Rebecca - I hope I don't have such bad side effects from the clomid Although I'm sure we both agree the side effects would be worth it if it results in a bfp. That is too funny about poor Nimosh in the closet... was he howling in there? Your vacation is coming up really fast!

Deanna - I hope you're feeling better today. Sorry about the temp drop - but at least you can drink a bunch of cosmos when you see SATC!

Mary - I'd say you Oed 2 days ago too - it will be nice to see CH! Thats quite a to do list! I've also been meaning to make an appt with an RE just in case... I really should since here in NYC its like a 3 month wait.

JJ - I'm glad its just a bloodtest - $80 isn't that bad if its going to give you alot more information!! I hope it doesn't take too long to get it back after they ship it out.

Claire - love your todo list!!!!

Mel - I don't buy the cultural excuse either! Her BIL should definitely know better and so should the mother especially when the poor baby is getting YI right and left! I'm glad that other jobs are being listed - I'm sure the right one is going to come along for you. Frankenkitty is funny - he really doesn't look too bad but I'm sure dealing with the pus was no fun. DH's never want to be the bad guy... even with the kids they always want to be the fun dad not the disciplinarian. I know I'm going to be the one saying do your HW and he's going to say oh let them play.

Becky - heck yeah IKWYM... its crazy that she jumped right to the pricey or invasive options. I hope your appt with RE#2 goes alot better tomorrow.

Irene - He didn't make a peep. I opened the door and he just looked at me, ran out and peed on the floor.

Good morning, goils!

Rebecca ~ LOL about the doggies! I actually did that to Binx a couple of days ago. I won't let the cats into my closet b/ they snoop around, mess things up and then hide in a hard to reach area. But you know what they say about curiosity, right? It doesn't help that Cap'n will sometimes open the door to my closet for them to go exploring in (another good cop, example) I guess Binx got in my closet when I wasn't looking and I shut the door. Cap'n found him a while later crying to get out. Big puss.

Lindy ~ Hope you feel better soon!

OMG, Rac that is too cute! I mean, cleaning up pee always sucks, but still too cute.

For the record: I brought up the "cultural thing" as a tasteless joke, not an excuse. I mean, it's "cultural" for the Taliban to stone women to death for taking off a scarf, and I think they should be castrated. Anyhow....

Irene- Wow, those are some flat temps. Mine never do that. I hope you don't have any weird s/e either

Deanna- JMO, but I would be pretty skeptical of a massage that claims to fix endo....if it works, it still sounds painful. KUP when you talk to the Dr

Lindy- Yay! she is alive. I wish I could go swimming-no fair. I understand not temping in the 2ww. But every am I tell myself, OK, today is the last day.....I'm addicted, what can I say

Mary- There are some tests that your gyno can do before the RE. That's how I did it, b/c I'm pretty sure my ins doesn't cover any fertility stuff. They just 'code' it as issues with your period. At least that's how they did it for me. Personally, I'd try to get the b/w and anything else out of the gyn b/c I bet the RE's are more $$. But, if it looks like you O'ed, you may not have much cause for alarm I want to go to the lake-no fair!

JJ- Well, that's not bad at all. $80 for piece of mind- not even an issue, IMO. And just a blood draw? OK, well I'd rather have surgery than get my blood drawn j/k. cool, I can't wait to hear the results.

Mel- Capn is too funny. It's the opposite in my house with the dogs. I'm always like: "Don't make me call your FATHER!" DH loves the doggies, but I totally spoil them. Like now, Sadie is going though that phase where she's biting alot and testing boundaries so she growls, and gets a little agressive too. We are trying to teach her "no!" and also that if we roll her onto her back to submit. Well, she's was being especially mean with me and pitching a fit, I rolled her over and she just growling and biting and then DH looks at her, squints his eyes, and makes a low growl noise and she went totally limp in my arms. I really showed her who's boss, right?

Hello Ladies!

I hope everyone is having a good Thursday.

Rebecca - I'm so excited for you... I know you will have a blast on the trip! Take lots of pictures . As far as the s/e... I haven't even started taking them, and I've been getting headaches... not normal for me (I hope it doesn't have anything to do with last month's clomid). I start taking it today.
That is so funny about your pup... they are like little kids.

Melissa - Glad to hear Binx is doing better... even though you have to deal with the puss. Gross!! That really bothers me that you haven't received a call back yet. It is good that there are other jobs opening up though. When I was interviewing with firms, one lady (a sr. partner) told me I would have a second interview with the partners, walked me around and introduced me to the staff... and then nothing. I called, emailed, and sent a follow-up letter, but no reply. Some people are just stupid. I figured if she was going to do that to me... I didn't want to work for them anyway! Turns out they hired a partner's son.

Mary - welcome to the 2ww... I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Claire - My Golden's name is Sadie . DH always says I'm going to spoil the kids and he has to be the tough parent. I told him that I don't mind it that way. lol. When one of the dogs does something wrong, they always come up to me.. as if to say, "Mom will save me!!" lol.

Well, my temp is a bust today. We went out to the lake, and I got a little burnt and dehydrated. I kept getting up last night for aloe and water (not mixed!! ewww). lol.

Mare - Thanks. I will take lots of pics. Just wait till you see the scenery from up there. It's unbelievable! Next year, we'll stay at our friend's island and take the dogs. There are three cabins, so anyone is welcome to join us!

Mare- yummy, aloe and water cocktail! LOL. What's with all you people going to lakes? Stop it, dangit!!! take me with you......
Sorry about the s/e, or early s/e or whatever.

So, on the twins topic.....(see what we've started?) Maybe miss biology teacher (mel) can help me here, cause I did REALLY bad in HS bio:

Ok, so there are Identical twins and Fraternal Twins, right? ID twins is one egg, one sperm, fertilization and then it splits in two, right? Fraternal twins is two eggs, two sperm, one womb, right? So how is there identical twins that are different sex? If the sex is deternined by the sperm? Or is it techically not identical twins if it is boy/girl?

This is the stuff that goes through my mind when I'm a work-LOL

Claire - Yep, you got it right. It's not possible to have boy/girl identical twins because of the egg/sperm factor. I mean, I guess it would be possible if there was some type of mutation/hermaphrodite situation, but it's unlikely.

Rebecca/Claire - Its pretty cool but kind of freaky when you do have boy/girl twins that really look alike despite the fact that they're fraternal.

Claire ~ ROFLMAO take me with you...Yep, Rebecca got it right, due to the fact that the sperm determines the sex of the child, two sperm would have to be involved in boy/girl twins and since once a sperm fertilizes an egg, it shuts itself off to other sperm getting inside, that would mean 2 eggs, 2 sperm.

Mare ~ You know the more and more I think about it, the more and more I think I dodged a bullet with that school. From the beginning I could feel that they just weren't that into me and I don't want to be micromanaged and the impression I got regarding the parents wasn't good. There is a reason for everything...

Thanks for clearing that up, girls! Yep, whenever I think about boy/girl twins, I think about those super-blond-children-of-the-corn-kids. Is that what you meant by freaky, Irene?

Mel- Amen, sister! You didn't need that school anyhow. I am somehow picturing like a total rich kid, yuppie parents, BMW SUV soccermoms in tiny white shorts with french manicures and botox with orange tans. Kids named Buffy and Blake who stick thier pinkie fingers out when they drink their milk.....Ok, maybe I do have a little bit of an imagination.

Mel - I'm glad that you're looking at it from a positive angle... you were never super-excited about that job from the beginning.

Claire - you have a way with words!!!

So I just called my doctor's office to find out what my progesterone level was on last friday's CD21 b/w and it was 12. Thats good since last time I had it done when I was actually 7DPO and it was only 11.2 and I was only 5 or 6DPO this time. I still wish it was higher even though I know its only supposed to be >10 to confirm ovulation.

Irene - Wow your chart is looking awesome! Heading to the water this weekend?

Lindy - I was wondering what day you were on. And I think about not temping too, just because now I get up at 5:30 instead of the normal super early 6:30, just to see where I'm at. You're braver than me. I have my fingers crossed for you! And I wish I was at the pool too, nothing like running out of things to search on google.

RAC - Where is the island? And too funny about your dog! That sounds pretty familar to Blue. When she goes to far exploring, and I yell at her to come back, she just puts down her ears, and lays down and won't move. She knows she will be getting a spanking as soon as she comes back. I often wonder how she will react to a new baby in our family.

Claire - You can come! Let me know when you'll be in the area (ozarks, mo) and we'll set it up. I love having people down, and you can bring your four wheelers too!

Ok I guess I better get back to work, oh wait there is none. Darn it.

Of course I've been feeling something on my right side today, and of course have filled my head with anything and every idea I can come up with.
