Christie-LOL.. I heard the song "do the humpty hump (or whatever it is)" when reading Mary's post.

Rac-Oh I know I will have to wait at least 2 cycles/months which I think is a good timeframe. I'm not going to temp or anything during this time either so it feels like a real break and goes by faster.
AND I can't even imgaine wearing a hoodie right now!!

Mary-yes please use me as a reference and feel free to pm me if you have any questions about progesterone. When I was TTC with Avery and had an annual checkup, it was my Dr. who said to call if my LP (it was 10days) didn't improve. I called the next time AF showed and he prescribed the progesterone over the phone. I got PG with Avery the very first month on the progesterone. If progesterone doesn't work, I know clomid is also used to treat short LPs.

JJ-I think my post m/c bleeding has finally stopped and I am sure AF will be screwy for a few months. How is the 2ww going?

ok, time to head to work, have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies!

Thank you for the information regarding Alaska. I will throw a pair of shorts in there. I plan to wear layers, so I've got some t-shirts already packed. I've heard it can be in the 70s, but when the ship gets near a glacier, it can get down to the 30s.

JJ - Wow, Ireland. I bet it was beautiful! That is on my list of 'places to go before I die.' lol. My heritage is Scotch-Irish.

Rac - You will definitely be missed!! That sucks about the puppy...some people are idiots! I live out in the country, and we live in a 'drop off' zone. The past month we've gotten two dogs. We found a home for one, and my mom adopted the other (a purebred rough collie). She is about a year old.

Claire - I'm sorry about the emails. That would suck.

Melissa - when will you get the results? Next time I'm at my dr. I want to get a copy of my dh's swim team stats. My RE wouldn't give them to me because he had a seperate file from mine... but when I changed docs, they pushed the two files together.

I read a great book about insulin resistance. It is entitled the insulin resistance diet. It basically said when you eat a carb (which will spike your blood sugar), even it out with a protein. So, you can have a piece of toast, but just put an egg on it. It said you can eat protein by itself, and it won't cause a problem. If anyone wants to borrow it, I can send it...that is if I can find it. I may have given it to my sister. I liked it because it went through a list of restaurants and told you what to order.

oooh - Hell's kitchen! That is my favorite tv show now. lol. Dh and I cook a nice dinner (in honor of the show), and sit down on the couch and watch it. Last night we had steak and corn on the cob (cooked in the husks... awesome)!!

Well, no word from my references. I've given up. It looks like I'm only going to have one reference for the job... I just pray that is enough. It is strange... I asked permission to use them as references, and they GLADLY accepted. Grrr.

Good morning ladies... I'm running late on here because I had alot of work to do this morning... yuck!!! I got CH but they don't match up with my monitor so I think I'll have to play around with my temps a bit to get it right...

Mare - I don't think I commented on your Alaska cruise yet... I would love to do that! Thats definitely up there on our list of places to go. Ireland is also on our list. Thats crazy that your RE wouldn't give you DH's S/A results. I hope you get the job despite your lame references... I can't believe people you consider friends would do that to you

Bina - Hopefully you get the go ahead from your doctor and it lines up with when you are emotionally ready. I'm glad the bleeding is over - I hope your body gets back to normal right away. Thanks for the well wishes - I hope the clomid does the trick too and we caught the eggie (or eggies )!

Mary - your recipe sounds so good and I meant to try it last time you posted... only problem is I don't think you can roll up the no-boil ones and I'm too lazy to use anything else LOL at doing the hump!!

Rebecca - I agree with Mary don't pay any attention to the forecast - they never know what they're talking about anyway. I am glad to see that it is looking much better though without all that rain. Hey even if it does rain part of the time, you can spend it indoors under the covers LOL at 6 ears of corn!! It always amazes me but I think there are alot of people out there that end up giving away puppies because they're too much work... makes you wonder if they would give away their children if they could?!!?!?!

JJ - sorry about the high BP... it sounds like its only borderline though and at least you're aware of it and trying to bring it down.

Sweetpea - I use the monitor and I stop testing the day after my Peak reading goes back to High. I'm sure you'll learn alot of helpful information if you check back here more regularly...

Melissa - I was cracking up about Claire's vision of you and DH driving the sample over. Did they say 25 minutes was okay? The first time DH did it he had to take the sample over, but the 2nd time he did it at a clinic and he said it was just like they show on TV with the porn magazines and videos... the worst part was he said you could hear people outside the room so he was sure they could hear him too LOL! Yummmmm sweet short ribs... that sounds so good!! LOL at Cap'n framing his S/A!

Claire - glad you threw the book off the bridge... GGGGRRRRR about your cousin and the reply to all emails!! I forget - does your family know that you're TTC?

Christie - sorry about your carpet - I hope it wasn't white!!!

Becky - I see what you mean about wanting the results to be accurate... I guess since like Rebecca I didn't even have to do the clomid challenge I thought 1 day might not matter all that much. But you're probably right that it will give you the best protocol if you follow the rules.

Steph - you know we all want to see this blinkie now!!!

Irene - FF is messed up because you missed a temp. You can always do a manual override.

Yea, if it rains, we'll build a fire in the cabin and hang out. That's what we did the last time we went up and it was rainy out. I'd much rather be out on the lake fishing or hiking or something, though. I also need to decide what book I am taking with me.

Rebecca - thats what I thought too but even if I put a dummy temp in for that day it changes it to CD14 instead of 13 and I think I actually Oed on CD15... maybe if I put negative OPKs in too?

Irene - I'd just leave it as it is with the override. It is possible that you O'd on cd14 since that temp was a little higher, but my guess would be cd15 with the nice big temp jump - that's a clomid shift!

Rebecca - I'm mainly basing CD15 on the monitor readings I got. My temps are as accurate as I can get them but its much harder to be perfect with them versus POAS... Yay for clomid shifts!

Irene- Holy temp shift, batman! You burnin up overthere? Want me to get you a cool cloth? LOL. I would be so happy for you if it turns out to be a little magic pill! But I don't wanna jinx it...........

Rac- You know what? You're gonna have fun if your rained out or not. It'll be great! I'm so jealous

Mare-I don't even know what insulin resistance is! Other than this book says I have it. Sorry bout your references-what do you mean "only one" did they change their minds about liking you, or they are just too busy to call back. Either way, fingers crossed.

Bina- I typed 16 different sentances here. None of them came out right. So I'm just gonna say "good morning" .

Mary- thanks for the encouragement. I'm hearing Digital Underground/Sex packets song. NIIIIIIIICE! Haven't heard that one in a WHILE yes, we got some ac going....and things have cooled down-thank goodness.

JJ- I hate it when I spend a long time on a post for nothing-grrr. I still don't really understand blood pressure . All I know is that whenever they take it and tell me the # I have to ask if it's good or not. One time, I was in the ER and they had me hooked up to a machine while they drew my blood. I told the vampire I was really light headed and he laughed at me. I pointed to the machine and told him "well that number was higher when I got here, dummy" Then he believed me that I might pass out. LOL.

Mel- Got that s/a back yet? We got ours in about a week. But DH got to look at his swimmers and the lab tech said everything looked good. The name of the book is something like "perfect balance hormones for fertility". It's written by an RE....who actually had his wife taking clomid to SCHEDULE her O so they could BD in between his out-of-town trips. It seemed weird to me that most of the book was about getting your homones balanced through nutrition, but he advocates clomid and BCP to manipulate things. Mainly, I spend enough time blaming myself. I was really getting tired of reading a book that confirmed that.

Sweetpea-good luck. I don't know anything about the monitor, let us know how it goes.

Ok, so I'm trying really hard to be more positive today. DH and I already had a spat in the car on the way to work. . But I have copius amounts of EWCM today. This is so odd. The first few cycles I really thought I just didn't HAVE EWCM.....now It's been several days? I doubt it's the vitex already. Maybe all the H20 I'm drinking? I keep getting really worried everytime I wipe in the RR bc I'm worried I'm taking the good stuff away....LOL at myself

Good morning, goils!

Rebecca ~ Yeah, I mentioned to Cap'n the sign that read 5 ears of corn for $2 and Cap'n said 2 was enough, I think he was freakin' out a little about how much stuff was in the cart! A little rain peppered through the vacay doesn't sound too bad, as long as it isn't the whole time. Cap'n and I have been lucky in the rain dept re vacays (knock on wood!)

Mary ~ Thanks for the recipe! I'm going to try it tonight...Do you cover it with tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce?

Mary & Mare ~ No time frame on the s/a and I hope it is not too long. I did e-mail my doctor yesterday and told her that I dropped it off so that she can be on the lookout. I also asked what the next step for me would be...The last couple of days I have been having pain on my left side. Not sure if A) I'm imagining it B) I could be confusing the pain from the back pain I've had the last couple of weeks or C) the pain is real and it has something to do with my blocked tube. And of course, as usual, I don't want to bring it up to doc for fear of being perceived as being a hypochondriac or her telling me to lose weight.

Irene ~ LOL at the donation at the doctor's office. When Cap'n and I were in Vegas, they hand out little cards all up and down the strip for escorts. Cap'n showed me one he liked of "Crystal" and I told him to keep it for when he needed to make his donation. If this has to be repeated, I may run out and get him an updated girly mag.

LMAO! Oh ye Dude-Moderator-Rebecca, can I put up my BAD blinkie, just for a little while? It SO fits my life right now with what I was talking about in the weigh loss thread yesterday and everything that's happened.

JJ ~ It's about what mine was; I think the highest recorded BP I had was about 144/92, and I was feeling calm at the time. But for someone who's always had nice low pressure (generally 116/68 my whole life), it was a big jump. It's been back down there, well, pretty close, so, yeah, certainly explore that 'bringing own your anxiety' thing as an option.

Y'all are so funny.

Mel- It frustrates me that you feel afraid to mention to your Dr when you are IN PAIN! Even if your weight was causing issues, I'm pretty sure being overweight doesn't cause your tube to hurt. And when my endo would act up sometimes, it hurt in my back AND my ovary....so it could all be the same thing hurting. Pain is weird like that. LOL at frugal Capn and his corn rationing.

Steph - I don't think we should have any blinkies with the F word... if you can edit it to say freak..or frick.... that'd be okay.

Melissa - Can I ask what you weigh and how tall you are?? From your pictures, you do not look over-weight. I sometimes think too much stock is held in the whole weight category when it comes to ttc. I think your blocked tube is a much bigger concern.

Mel - ditto what Claire said! You definitely shouldn't be afraid to mention pains to your doctor. I KWYM though about being afraid of imagining it though - how likely is that though? are they really dull pains or do they come go and go, etc.? correct me if I'm wrong though Claire but if it was endo pain there would be no doubt that you were imagining it, right? I was under the impression that was pretty painful...

LMAO! I know, I know. But it looses all it's effect without the F word. That's why I've never posted it, but OMG, I've REALLY wanted to sometimes. My inner moderator keeps me on the straight and narrow. Most of the time.
