Deanna- oops, we x-posts.

I think I KWYM about a police officer who doesn't get paid. I have an uncle who did something like that. OIC, qualify to carry. DH is going to a competition this weekend and I guess there is some kind of qualification that ranks you in the organization....I don't understand it all. And YES! Women and concealed is so hard. I actally wanted a SOB holster....but can't find one for my gun yet. I love my hip holster, it's a blackhawk paddle holster, bc it's so easy to draw from......maybe I just need a trench coat! LOL!

Irene- Borrow my gun? That's like me asking to borrow your husband! I'm offended. I think you should definately come out here. We have lots of great touristy stuff and art galleries...Oh, and skiing!

All the Mexican food talk got me last night...I picked up bad-for-me-Tex-Mex from Taco Cabana --BIG chain down here; above fast-food level, but still fast food, like there is one on every other corner. Beef enchiladas with that red meat sauce. And two flour tortillas, so I put the refried beans in that...It was good.

I like thin crusts too -- I like that greasy pizza you can get at the mall, where the pieces are HUGE but really thin. Of course, I have to sponge off the grease. LOL!

The women and carrying concealed stuff conversation made me thing... LMAO! You should have seen what Gail and I would always pack inside my bra to go to concerts...keys...phones...money...IDs...camera (smuggled, it had a special place)...like that (playtex) commercial where the one friend says to her girlfriend 'your bra is my second purse'. We DIE cause that's SO TRUE!!!

I want to join the club!! I've had my concealed carry permit since January

I would have to say my favorite food is steak and mashed potatoes, but I like pretty much everything that is unhealthy. hee hee. Lasagna (any type of pasta, really), pizza, burgers and fries...etc. Now I'm hungry! lol. I also love sushi. I've tried to make it, but after one attempt I decided to leave that to the pros. I go through periods where I crave a certain type of food constantly (mexican, italian, asian).

Well, speaking of food, going to go get ready for dinner.

Steph- OMG that is hillarious about your bra. There's no way I could stuff my gun in my bra though....well, maybe, but it would be pretty obvious- ooooo, that would be a REALLY bad place for an accidental discharge!

Mare- Yay! I knew there was a reason I liked you! Wait! A lawyer with a gun? Is that even legal? Ok, looks like we need some CT Gun club blinkies now!

Do you actually have to own it to be a member? I've fired a number of handguns, and an AK47. LOL! My dad has his own arsenal...

They have the old gag about how 'he needed killin' is an admissible defense in court in Texas...

And you just have to get practiced (and have big boobs) to pack ANYTHING into your bra. I could get a gun in there. The camera used to go inside my shirt, under the front my bra, between my boobs; it was about the same width as the center of my bra, so I was golden. And NOBODY was gonna check that closely.

I feel left out... I've never even seen a real live gun

Mare - sounds like we have the same food preferences... except for sushi - I'm like the only NYer that is still trying to acquire the taste for it. I went through a phase where I started liking it and actually craved it but then I fell off the wagon My favorite is spicy tuna.

Steph - I don't think I've ever tried to hide anything in my bra either... and really I don't want to make them look bigger!!!!

Claire - LMAO about the gun discharge... no need to pay for a reduction anymore!!!

Deanna - you know its funny I'm one of the few people that actually went to the short-lived Nyla LOL! I don't know too much about Southern Hospitality - the reviews look average and I doubt you'll see JT there (I didn't see Brit). Plus its pretty far uptown so depending on what else you're doing it might not be convenient. If you're still around Times Sq at dinnertime, Virgil's is a safe bet for great BBQ... or if you want something ritzier Blue Smoke is good too Blue Smoke :: Jazz Standard You might end up having sticker shock when you see the prices in NY restaurants but its really hard to avoid Alot of it depends on what else you want to do before and after dinner so you know what part of the city you're going to be in...

Hi everyone!!!

Nothing new going on here just packing and house hunting...ugh I wish I was already there so that it would make this easier. Lets see I still have to update my insurance, get a referral to a dr. out there, go NUTS... I hope I have everything covered...

Ya'll made me laugh about the bra comments, maybe when I get to SD I'll be able to find a place tha makes bras because I have very few that actually fit properly.

All that talk of food has me hungry. lol Time for homemade cheese stuffed mancotti. YUM

Loving all seafood, I learned something about sushi a few years back...there's a BIG difference between the okay stuff, and the really good stuff! BIG difference. HUGE!!!

I've never actually had sushi.....never really had the urge. I had a boyfriend once who-while eating sushi-gave me a huge spoon of wasabi and thought it was hilarious. I was so mad I didn't sample anything else.

Steph- good thing you're moving! I didn't know they let you live in TX without owning a gun. And sure, you can be in the gun club. Military brats are shoe-ins! I like Ron Whites' take on how other states are trying to repeal the death penalty and TX put in an express lane-yep, if you come to TX and kill someone, we'll kill ya back! LOL

Irene- OMG. What different world we live in....you've NEVER seen a live gun? Wow. That's it, you need to come to visit.....we'll have margaritas and amazing food and I'll take you to Tina's indoor shooting range! You know, my BFF who lives in NYC, well she found herself a man out there and I made some comment about him being a city boy. She got SOOO mad at me. She said that he was tough cuz he had "street smarts". I was like- "what's that, how NOT to get mugged?" Big deal! I felt bad, sorta- I never said he was a wimp or anything-just a city boy...ooops! So, Irene-I think you probably have street smarts, too.

Brandy- Ya know I thought I had big boobs, but now hearing that Stephs bra is like Mary Poppin's carpetbag, I'm thinking not so much. I bet you can find a great selection in LA at least.

Claire ~ OMG you crack me up! You know, the only difference I can think of between the primary and secondary place is that the place in Oakland (the secondary place) maybe does more invasive stuff or actually has REs there and the Richmond hospital does not...

When we were in Japan, Cap'n and my dad were having a field day with getting sushi. My mom and I were like, "Where's the tempura?" I like the California Roll stuff, not the straight up fish stuff.

Steph ~ When my BFF and I would go to awards shows and stuff, I got a cheapie purse and cut the lining and put my little camera in there. Then I covered the tear with a maxi pad so the guy checking my purse wouldn't go beyond that! I got some great pictures...sigh.

Irene ~ I'm with you, the only guns I've seen were the ones being carried by police officers....

Rhea ~ ROFLMAO@'we'll kill ya back'. *wipes tears* Well, I don't OWN one, but I can get my hands on about fifteen in ten minutes, does that count?

Mel ~ That's pretty crafty! LOL@the pad trick. I had to pack it all in my top, cause when Gail and I would go to shows, I didn't take ANYTHING in my hands inside, no purse, nothing. I'd get a bottle of water and that was it. We were always so up front that you can't afford to be watching after your purse. I had my standard 'Aeroconcert outfit', which was a pair of black capris, a pink (of course) tank top with a shelf bra, and a long sleeve button down shirt over top, unbuttoned. And sometimes my pink feather boa. Layers, comfort, and still cute. And pink. And I had to have my pink full-glitter nail polish too. Hell to take off, but I had to have it. Aaaaaaall about knowing how to pack. LOL!

If its not GOOD sushi, it's mediocre. Its bland fish stuck to blander sticky rice. Ugh. But *oh* that restaurant we went to in Seattle....*sigh*....SO INCREDIBLE!!!

Mel- that's like some serious spy stuff, there. Your like total covert-black-ops with the feminine napkin . I'll have to remember that one! OIC about the secondary fert. place. I've always thought primary was TTC#1 and secondary is when you already have at least one. duh. Well, that's good! So they will really get down to the nuts and bolts of things. yay!

Steph- niiiiiice, with the pink feather boa....you're such a fox!

Geez, I have to work for a day and I have so much to catch up on!

Claire - Too bad you don't live in the city, you NEED to do stand up. You're so funny! I'm coming with spoiled boy, our four wheller and Blue (if that's alright?) I would so love to spend an evening with you. You're like me, no one has to guess what's on your mind. Love it.

Mel - I'm with you, bring on the California rolls! I'm glad you are getting a new refferral. What is a IF class? I think I had just joined when you had to go the last time. And never held a gun? You should, it's exciting!

Irene - And you either? I guess you don't hunt in NYC. LOL. Happy 4th, I'm assuming you will be watching the fireworks on water? I sure hope it doesn't rain here/there.

I wonder how Rac is? I know that AF will be here tomorrow or Friday. I feel the cramps a coming. Hopefully she'll hold out until after the b/w.

Gotta watch baby borrowers, I'll be back....

Mary-Baby borrowers? Never heard of that one. I'm not sure you want to come, I'm not nearly this funny in person . Aaack! I'd be a terrible stand up comic, thanks but no, no. I think of plenty of things to hunt in NYC....not exactly legal, but I'd love to pick off a couple of anorexic celebs with the sniper rifle-bye, bye britney .

Your BW is tomorrow, right?

I guess I missed all the mexican food chat and you gals moved on to guns, etc. I grew up in England so am not a big gun person although of course I now live in Texas. I have shot a rifle at a paper target before though!

Mel-for what its worth, I turn the radio up when I hear that "I kissed a girl" song! And I hope the secondary IF Dr. is worth the drive!! Oh I remember Kaiser insurance too from living in CA.

Mary-what day did you decide to go in for your progesterone check?

I found out that one of my staff at work is PG and due in JANUARY (when I was due) argh! I'm not really supposed to know as she hasn't told anyone but my boss yet. I know she had trouble TTC so I am happy for her. I don't know why the news bummed me out though, because I have a really good friend at work who is due in December and that doesn't bother me at all and we even talk about her PG all the time. Maybe because I have known about her PG all along? Anyway thanks for listening to me vent, I'll be over it in the morning..epecially if my temp is up!! lol.

OMG... I'm so sorry... I owe you all so many apologies. Sry for being MIA oh for like a month. Crystal just sent me your msg and I'm so glad that you all were thinking of me! Life's just nuts. I'm so over busy and exhausted. I thought things would get better when I quit one of my pt jobs, but they have only seemed to get worse. I have so much to tell... Still no BFP, but def TCC! I'm excited for that.DH and i just actually got off the phone (he;s gone of course) and he was reading me some website he was looking at about what not to buy and must haves. It was so cute. He said a must have was a boppy and then asked why you needed an airplane pillow for a baby. I almost died! The little things in life. Other than that... works good. I'm done subbing for the summer, but camp started and i'm spending way to much time there. I just love the kids and what I do. What can I say... Oh and I just wrecked my car... but I think that its a good thing. It's made me realise that I really do need to slow down. In everything that I'mdoing right now. I need to start focusing on me and my life. I finally went to dinner wiht Crystal last night. Prob the first time in a month. I havent even seen her and baby Luke in like 2 or 3 weeks... (So it's not just you guys i've left). But please don't think that I've forgot about you. I def haven't. I think of you often. Actually prob more than DH! Don't tell him. I know that I have tons to catch up on...I will read more tomo and def post again tomo. I need sleep now. (kinda sick again... URI or maybe allergies) I cant take it! Diff breathing and terrible sleepingso i'm tkaing meds to help.Oh and of course + opk yest am... so hopefully bd tomo when dh gets home... Prob onto yet another mth! This is getting old???
