Claire - you're not pissing me off. Thanks for trying - I am going to try to be optimistic... only a few more days anyway until I know if AF is going to show. If she does, I will ask for 100mg.
I did find a good site that shows the "normal" hormone ranges (I know someone else has posted this before): FertilityPlus: Hormone Levels & Fertility Bloodwork It definitely says that they like it to be above 15 for a medicated cycle... I'm going to keep my that 13.5 is good enough.Last edited by Irene : 07-01-2008 at 03:20 PM. |

There ya go. Very true, not like you can change it right now anyhow. Did we mention we love the 2ww yet today? *sigh*
You know, I have a buddy group on FF boards for those of us who have had a lap this year....2 BFP in a week! Plus the two here! Wow, must be a good month, or everyone O'd during the full moon or something. Anyhow, the only reason I mention that is that optimism is not my strong point right now-but I'm working on it! |

Claire - Sorry about your rabbit food, I'll be right back with ya tomorrow.
LOL, no wonder DH had to do his sample right there, I have no cleavage! "we've come a long way baby but apparently we still have a ways to go!!" I second that. Irene - So is clomid supposed to raise your progestrone level too? TAMPON GIRL! "Gosh, did any of us get the pill in highschool because we were having sex? LOL." Yes I did. LOL...... Ok I'm bored nothing to report, moodyness has started which means that by the time I hit the lake with my wakeboard, AF will be right there waiting for me. What a B!!!! |

Mary- I'm astonished that you can tell by moodiness for AF.....If I went by that, I'd ALWAYS have AF! Oh and about prog and clomid. Irene and Bina explained that a bit better on the last few posts of June TTC, I think. Apparently it is a bit of a wonder drug. Although I think cysts can be a common s/e and that scares me!
Irene- I just saw your edit with the hormone info. Sweet. Thanks. I have FX for you, too that 13.5 is fine. |

Erg. erg. ERG! I got home from work this morning and found people waiting outside my house. The inspector and the new owner I believe. How long does it take to inspect a home? For crying out loud, I want to sit around in my chonies and read my fertility porn in peace!
For the record, Taco Bell gives me the trots. The end. Irene and Christie ~ Are you saying that you can wear a tampon w/o a pad? WHAT?!?!?! I have never done that and if I did, I would ruin undies! Claire ~ Yeah, the sample was in my boobs. I don't have much room down there, but I made it fit, I just jammed it in there, LOL. The lady at the front desk was totally unfazed when I dug around in my shirt for it too. Irene ~ I'm no expert on the levels of a medicated cycle, but that does seem on the low side. Deanna had a level of like 78 on a medicated cycle, but I forget if it was clomid or Femara. |

I forgot how fast this thread moves, I actually got some WORK done today believe it or not but now I'm back to slacking for the next half an hour.
Christie-I hate pads too, but my AF's are always short and light but used to be killer in HS. I remember my bff had to drive me home one day because my cramps were so bad and the school nurse wouldn't give me any advil since they couldn't reach my mom, lol. I am supposed to wait until after the 2nd AF to TTC. I have pretty short cycles so if I O soon, I think it will go by pretty quick. Claire-I read in TCC about carrying sperm samples between the boobs. I am too small chested to keep anything warm or secure down there, lol. Irene-Even though I've always heard they want to see above 15 on a "medicated" cycle I've never quite understood why. If your progesterone wasn't an issue to begin with and it is still within the normal range, I would think it is ok. Maybe they want to see a higher level to see that the medication is making a difference?? However, if the clomid is making you ovulate then that should show that it is working. |

Mel - I know that some people have much higher numbers than others but as long as you're in the right range you can get pg. I don't need 78 - just 15+!! From what I've been seeing clomid has an addictive effect... so I think if I'm on it a few more months (even if I stay at 50mg) my levels should get progressively higher
. I wear tampons alone... lately my flow has been so light when I change them they aren't even that icky Bina - thx. I hope you are right and its a non-issue. The thing I wonder though is that maybe progesterone was my problem to begin with and no one has pinpointed it yet... I'm sorry for not remembering but how exactly were you diagnosed again? Claire - Here is an example. This morning while I was ironing Buddy's pants for work, I couldn't get one pant leg to lay flat, after about five attempts, I start to feel a bitch session coming. I take a deep breath. I turn the pants over, try again still no. I leave the room, take a few more deep breaths and come back. Now I'm tugging on the pants trying to get them to lay flat so that I can iron them. They do, after 10 more deep breaths, I decide no talking until I get to work. We drive all the way to work, nothing said, and when we pull up to Buddy's work. He says, "are you already PMSing?" "Yep she'll be here this weekend". So not only do I know, but so does Bud.
And then the same thing at Target today at lunch, my stupid cart was pulling to the right. URRRR, I guess normally little things don't bother me. |

Mel-before the progesterone made AF heavy in that last month or so before I got PG, I only ever needed a regular tampon w/ out anything else even on my heaviest days!
Steph-I really miss the mexican food in so.cal. I will never understand chile con carne on enhiladas, it is SO wrong! But at least Texas has good mexican food. I don't think I could live anywhere with bad mexican food! |
|
||||
|
Bina - I've been trying to avoid the mexican food conversation and now you've brought it back
Mary - that could be me on a normal day... and if DH asked me if I was PMSing (even if he was right) I would smack him! |

Mel- What size tampons are you wearing that you still need a pad? No, I've never needed a pad in addition EXCEPT for the ruptured cyst in HS. And a home inspection can take 4-8hours easy. Sorry they were there, I know how frustrating that must be....so you got the house under contract, then?
Mary- you iron DH's pants b4 work? I'm gonna call you June Cleaver now....... Irene- I bet it will get progressively higher. Have you left a message to ask the Dr if they are concerned? I second Bina, though Ya'll don't even KNOW good mexican food till you've been here. Of course, we have HOT Chile..... and then some that isn't. SoCal style enchiladas are just WRONG, though! They are WAY different than here. We have many different kinds of Enchiladas, too. We are probably more famous for things like Chile Rellenos, though. mmmm....Dang Diet. Mel- Taco Bell comment- ROFLMAO |

I can't believe how fast this thread moves!!! I don't have time to go back and look for things specifically, so here is what I remember...
In that infertility book I mentioned before, they had an anecdote of a guy whose wife was having an iui. He did his part at the clinic, but before he could give it to the nurse, he knocked it over and it spilled all over the floor. He scooped it off the floor, dirt and all, and gave it to the nurse. He didn't tell his wife until she was several months pregnant...LOL I had been going to Taco Bell after my RE appointments. Don't know why, just got hungry for it every time, then it became a habit. For whoever asked, I don't remember who, for what I need for IVF it will cost us $26,000 plus meds. The scary thing is, it might not even work. We've been cutting back so much lately trying to afford this without going into debt. I'm going to go take the dog for a walk |
