I will let you all know what happens when i do an HPT....i am going crazy..haha...my poor DH is going crazy too! (but only because i keep talking about it lol)...but luckily i have been so busy it hasnt been too bad!!!...i will have to go and buy a digital one tomorrow on my way home from work, and maybe i will take it on friday morning to get FMU......i feel the peer pressure from you all...j/k .haha.

this is the longest cycle i have ever had when i wasnt on birth control (BCP made my cycle more irregular, and i would miss period and they would start late, or early when i was on it..... and when i am not on it, my cycle is totally regular...i know i am backwards!)......its insane.

I do think i ovulated this month.....my body is very effected by the difference in time...i even tested that....i took it at different times to see what happened, and it really effected my temp.....(i just wanted to know!)

I will do the q-tip test and see what happens...i will let you know what i see.....that is crazy that you can do that! i didnt even know!

Sigh... I think I missed my O I started using OPKs last friday and the first test was about 50% as dark as the control line... but I thought nothing of that since everything I've read says thats a negative and since I've never tested before I didn't know what my cycle looked like. Then this weekend I was in a wedding so had no chance to test. When I started testing again on Monday I have no 2nd line at all. So I probably ovulated over the weekend and I missed it. It sucks too because DH and I were talking a big game at the wedding about BDing but then we were so exhausted (well I was anyway after having to get up at 6am for hair and makeup).

Does anyone else use OPKs and get the 50% as dark result?

Irene - If your opk was getting dark and has no result line now, I would guess that you O'd over the weekend and missed the surge. I hope you did get a chance to bd over the weekend since you can ovulate 24 - 48 hours after the surge.

On the positive side, you have a better timeframe for next month when you start testing again.

Nope no BDing at all this weekend so looks like I have to wait another month I think I'll continue to use the OPKs just in case - but my guess is that AF will show up in a week and a half.

It is a positive that my cycle seems to be regulating since if I Od this weekend it would be around CD15-16.

Well, I am reading in this forum about the "Q-Tip" test, and I was intrigued. I tried it and it came out clear. My cycle is on day 31. AF should be showing up soon. It has been coming on about day 29. Also on a side note.......My friend was telling me about Evening Primrose Oil and how it is supposed to help in getting pregnant sooner. Any thoughts on that???

I've read about EPO as well but I haven't tried using it yet. I was wondering if we could have a thread where people talked about the different over-the-counter methods that they used to enhance fertility. I've been reading tons of stuff online about things like the Instead cups, etc. but I would love to hear it from people that have actually used them successfully or unsuccessfully.

I took vitex from aug - nov....didn't like it. That is when my cycles got out of wack (althought vitex probably wasn't to blame...RE said I have mild pcos..). I used instead cups the last couple of cycles and truly believe those played a part in my bfp.

Val - EPO can help, but only in the follicular phase. It helps to think the cervical fluid to make it more sperm friendly. You don't want to take any EPO in the luteal phase as it can cause the uterus to contract.

So...i did the q-tip test last night... and it came out clear....all there was on it was some CM...thats it....so it looks like AF is not on her way anytime soon....
BUT, i am going to to an HPT again....i took the last one on june 22nd...which was 2 days after my missed period......i feel nervous that its going to be a negative and that i have something wrong with me....i know, i am a little psycho. haha.

Mere- Very cool that we are not too far from each other.... I am in the galleria area.....

Irene- i used Preseed this cycle, its the sperm friendly lubricant...and i like it (other women i have talked to have used it and they got pregnant using it)....but i dont know the results from this months efforts yet!....

Stormy-I think that you are possibly having an annovulatory cycle. Which is not uncommon to have and I would say by your chart that you have never O'd. So don't worry there's nothing wrong with you. It happens and that's why they give you meds to bring on AF so you can start your next cycle.

Stormy- I was pretty much always very regular. Maybe miss a period once a year. I was annovulatory the cycle before my BFP, and I never actually had a period inbetween, I spotted for over a week which is long for me. Then I ovulated really quickly after the spotting. So just make sure you stay consistant with your BDing, cause you just don't know when you will ovulate. Here are my crazy charts, maybe they may help. When my OB saw them he couldn't believe I got pregnant.

Stormy - this is for you....

Irene - Sorry that you missed O this weekend. That sucks... Unfortunately without temping you won't know for sure when you O'd. Now that you have a better feel for your cycle you can narrow it down next cycle.

Stormy - I think you have to many temperatures that are missing or were taken at different times to say you are having a annovulatory cycle. But then I don't know much about charting. Test, test test!!

edit: I think it looks great. Your temps are still high.
