I can't believe it's July already either. I guess I will find out within the next 4 days whether AF is going to make her appearance or not. I am trying not to think about it at all....(HA HA, yeah right). My dh and I took our son to his family's house this weekend to spend a 8 days with them. Boy was that hard to leave! We have never been apart for that long before and I cried like a little baby when we left. Hopefully, since I will be able to get a lot of housework done this week without him here, that will keep my mind off the whole ttc thing.

Okay so I just found out that a friend from work was diagnosed a few months ago with stage 4 colon cancer and it's spread to her liver. There's nothing else that can be done but they're treating it in order to keep her comfortable for the time she has left. She's got 6-8 months w/o the treatment and 1-2 years with the treatment.

I just got off the phone with her. She's outta work and because her hubby has to take her to her treatments, he had to stop working as well.

So, they're living off of the salvation army and golden harvest food bank and stuff.

I really wish I could help her out. I think I'm gonna go around at work and see if I can get some people to pitch in to give her some money.

Please keep her in your prayers. She's got 4 kids all under 15.

How's everyone doing?
When we get pg with a girl we're naming her Gracelynn Rose (Grace is my grandmother's name and Rose is my mother's name).

I'm on CD5 now, CBEFM will arrive today, barely on time. I'm going to keep using the OPKs, but I'm going to start when I get a high reading on the monitor and when I get EWCM. I bought the CBE OPKs, so I guess we'll see how that goes. I started B6 on CD1, going to start the progesterone cream on 3DPO.

I got pg with DS in June 02'. I started that cycle on June 1st. I was charting and by June 29th I got my BFP. *sigh* So crazy, I never thought it would take this long.

Stacey ~ I know TTC can really suck sometimes but you have a great plan in place this cycle. I really hope it brings you a BFP!

(As well as all you other ladies TTC!)

Ok, so I have a question. I plan to start taking my BBT. However, I wake up several times through the night and do not sleep very well. Is that going to affect my results???

Val~ Yes, it can impact your results. You need to try to take your temp the same time everyday, and have at least 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep before temping. Sometimes it isnt possible, but it is best to try, especially when you are just starting to temp. After you know your body & temping patterns after 3 or 4 months, you can miss some here and there... You may want to take the free charting course on FF to help you. It is a nice way to learn about temping.

Val, it is best to take your temp the same time each morning like Lauren mentioned. However, I worked nights while ttc and I took my temp in the mornings when I didn't work and in the afternoon when I did work and it didn't mess up my charting. I just made sure I took my temp as soon as I woke up after at least 3 hours of sleeping. I also didn't set the time on FF so I didn't get open circles. Hope that helps.

Val - I have insomnia on and off and I also have different waking times. I still temped every day and was pretty consistent that I temped after the same amount of time of sleep. Like everything else in this crazy TTC world everyone is different. It all depends on your metabolism. For me my temps weren't affected but others here their temp could be completely out of wack because of sleep. I agree to go ahead and start temping and figure out what your patterns are. You have nothing to lose.

Stormy- Have you tested??? Based on the last temp you entered it doesn't look like AF is anywhere near. Have you done the Qtip test yet? Check in when you can.

(oh! by the way, i was reading about your son being in a muscial, which is soo awesome!!!! ...i am getting my masters degree in theatre as a designer and i work in a professional theatre....I love it!!! Stormy - That has to be the longest cycle I have ever seen. I bet you are going nuts. I would be. Best of luck to you with testing on Sat.

Val- I get woken up frequently by our animals throughout the night and even have to get up sometimes to feed our cat so she'll stop bothering us. I find that it hasn't effected my temp. I just make sure I temp at about the same time every day. The only thing I've found that really effects my temp is drinking and going right to bed. My body needs time to metabolize the alcohol.

Stormy-I think I would contact the doctor. If you are still getting BFN then I would think you might need the meds to bring on AF. I don't think I'd keep waiting it out.....like you said before it is just prolonging starting your next cycle if you aren't pg.

Stormy - I second Heidi - I'd test before Saturday you would definately be enough days post O even if the temps are a bit screwy. I've seen Christina & Mere have really long cycles (both of whom are pregnant now) And they had to take a medication to bring AF down - actually I think Christina took it when she was pregnant cause she didn't know she was pregnant. So test with a digital and if it's negative call your Dr ASAP to get the next cycle going.
