Default Instead Softcups

Does anyone know what Instead softscups are and what they do? I have seen on other postings women saying they used this with preseed to help them get pregnant and I wondering how this helps.

Thanks!!

They are big plastic cups used for periods and they kind of look like diaphams. They are supposed to help so that you dont lose any of the swimmers.

I found their website here's what they said

Would inserting an INSTEAD® Softcup® Immediately after intercourse help trap sperm in place to help increase the probability that I get pregnant? A: The INSTEAD, Inc. has not studied the post-intercourse placement of an INSTEAD® Softcup® as a method to help improve the probability of conception. However, the INSTEAD® Softcup®, based on its design, when properly in place does trap menstrual fluid from flowing down from the cervix into the vagina. So, placement immediately after intercourse would retain fluids flowing downward, keeping them trapped around the entrance of the cervix until the removal of the INSTEAD® Softcup

I saw on a posting that a lady said she got pregnant when after bd'ing she used the preseed and the instead softcup.

Have any of you heard of advantage of using preseed after bd'ing rather than before? I just ordered it, and want to get all the info on it that I can before I get it...

I havent used preseed but I have tried the instead things and they are great for those of us that need to pee right away so that we dont get a UTI and also cut way down on the mess factor.

You're supposed to use it before.

I must say I have never used the Instead soft-cups, BUT, for my periods, I have been using this product for 5 years now, and I love it....only wish I had known about it as a teenager. BTW I don't sell these or get a referral fee, I just think they are so much better than pads or tampons. I will never go bacl to disposable stuff for that, as long as I don't have to!

Also, I do wear it after BD (even before TTC), so that I am not "leaking" stuff out all day, sorry, probably TMI. So anyway, it might be helpful, too.

Here is a different version, that is clear medical grade silicone:

just FYI,

anjed - Preseed is a lubricant that is supposed to be used during bd. It is formulated to mimic the cf and seminal fluid so that the sperm have a healthy meduim to help the travel into the cervix. If you produce either watery or eggwhite type fluid and have no personal issue with lubrication or lack there of, you won't necessarily need Preseed. I do not produce a reasonable amout of fertile fluid. That is why I buy the preseed.

I also use the Instead cups. I prefer to keep the swimmers on the inside.
