My first pregnancy resulted in a very early miscarriage in 2002.
That spring, I had an hsg performed and then one round of clomid at 50 mg and became pregnant that month. My son was born on Feb., 2003.
Then, I had a surprise when I became pregnant again in the spring of 2004. My second son was born in Jan., 2005.
We have been trying to conceive since August 2006. I was given 50 mg of clomid along with a midcycle ultrasound and then a shot to help the eggs present to drop. We moved to a new house that month exactly when we were suppose to be very fertile. Needless to say, no baby occurred that month and I blamed stress. I was sad but then my Dr. put me on Femara along with doing the midcycle ultrasound and injection. This occurred for two months with no results. The last two months we tried clomid at 100mg and the midcycle ultrasounds and injections but nothing happened. The side effects from femara were not bad. The side effects from clomid I got use to (irritable, hot flashes) but then the last month I was also given prochieve (a progesterone gel) and this wore on me psychologically. I was already sad, but this was the agent that was pushing me to my limits. Nothing could cheer me up. Also, I knew that the next step would involve more than dosages of clomid or femara. I decided to go online and take a different approach to save myself from any further mental anguish. I found preseed (this helps if you have problem with cervical mucus being too low or nonexistant due to clomid side effects) and I used "Fertiltea" plus one 80 mg. baby aspirin, and a 500 mg tablet of vitamin C each day. The preseed and "Fertiltea" I ordered on the internet (along with a steeping ball to place the tea leaves in). I drank the tea three times a day and I used the preseed on my fertile days. This Saturday I found out that this month something worked for us because we are expecting our third baby in September. I hope this helps anyone else out there in dispair. Best wishes to all!!
