DH and I talked about this before we were even married

For a girl we agree on Cleo Jean. His Paternal Grandma's name was Cleora...a little old fashioned so we shortened that, and then Jean is my paternal Grandma, and his sister, Mom, and Maternal Grandma's middle names. We will call her CJ for a nickname.

Boy names on the other hand....uhg! He wants to name the first boy William Walter (His two Grandpas' first names). Poor Kid, what will we call him???....those are like two "old man names" to me! The only nickname that comes from either of those that I will call him is WILL, period. I hate Billy, there are already about 6 Bill's in our circle of family and friends, Willy is just asking to be made fun of in school, and Walt an Walley are just way to 1950s for me. I wouldn't mind William as a middle name, or a different first name with Walter, but geesh, do we HAVE to curse the kid with both at once!!!!

Other male family names include Robert, John, James, Worthy, Wade, Benjamin, Theodore, Frederick, Henry, Ezra, Delmer, Dane, MacElwayne, and Scott.

By the way, we came up with William Robert for a short moment, in honor of his dad and grandpa and my dad and grandpa....but then we thought of the nicknames and decided NO WAY!.......uhm - "Billy Bob Richards!" Can we say redneck/hillbilly????!!!!

Personally, I would be happy to come up with our own original First name, and then use William and/or Walter as middle names.

Any ideas ladies??
