As an afterthought maybe your guy has some issues.Like maybe he,s got scared of the commitment.Not excusing the way he,s acting but men are a strange breed.
Maybe he,s been hurt before and is trying to "protect himself"

I still can't get over the condom thing but maybe it wasn't what it seems.

Just a suggestion but why don,t you take the bull by the horns and ask him out instead of waiting for him.
Hopefully he,ll agree but if he doesn't at least you'll know where you stand.
