Littlered- Yeah, don't use a reg thermometer-they just aren't quite sensitive enough. I have a BBT and a tiny maglight (because I LOST the one that is just like Mel's-oops) I think any of them are fine. I just bought whichever one they had at the drugstore. I'm not even sure it has a brand name. It was about $10.00.
