Robin, I have worried so much about the things that Molly could do by one age that Morgan couldnt. Like Molly was reading by pre-k and Morgan just grasped it half way through kindy. I have started to learn that they just are really way to differant to compare. Morgan is so much more coordinated than Molly so she is doing things like shoe tying way earlier. Also now that Morgan is reading she is going a lot faster than Molly did.
That being said, since I teach 3 and 4 yr olds I know that a lot of kids that age just dont have the desire to learn colors yet. I would try to just teach her 1 color at a time, like pink since all girls seem to love pink and just go at her pace. I have a feeling that Lela is a lot like Morgan and when she is ready to learn she will amaze you
