Robin- Color blindness is a recessive trait carried on the X chromosome...basically for Lela to be color bind she would have to have the trait on both of her X chromosomes, meaning you would have to be color blind or be a carrier for it AND your DH would have to be color blind also. It is unlikely she is, because of the way it works, most people who are color blind are male.

(My father is color blind, therefore I know I carry the trait on one of X chromosomes....any boy I have has a 50% chance of being color blind and any girl has a 50% chance of carrying the trait. No girl I have can be color blind since my DH is not color blind)
