Rebecca - I was thinking the same thing when I read it - you would think by washing and putting the swimmers right where they need to be, the chances would be increased! Did your RE have any explanation? I would guess that the odds are lowered just be the fact that those having IUIs obviously have fertility issues... whereas the 20-25% chance of a natural pg is skewed up by all the darn fertile myrtles out there.

Bina - that is interesting that he says LPD doesn't necessarily cause infertility. It doesn't make sense though since you did suffer from the chemicals when you weren't treating your LPD with progesterone.

I also saw a mention in the article about PCOS and people putting too much emphasis on trying to "diagnose" it when in reality it should just be lumped in and treated the same as other ovulatory disfunctions... I wonder if this has something to do with why my new doctor said that testing your LH:FSH is outdated?
